Black Lynx Independent Security Service (BLISS)
Founded in 2834, the Black Lynx Independent Security Service (BLISS) has operated for centuries as a discreet but steadfast force in the ever-expanding void of space. Originally formed as a small-scale security outfit, BLISS has grown into a respected, independent organization that provides protection, escort services, medical evacuations, and tactical response operations across the Stanton system and beyond.
Founding and Early Years (2834 – 2900)

BLISS was founded by a small coalition of former UEE military personnel and civilian pilots who had grown disillusioned with the corruption and inefficiency of both the UEE Navy and private military contractors. They envisioned a neutral, ethically driven organization that could provide security and support without political influence or corporate greed. The Black Lynx name was inspired by the lynx’s stealth, independence, and keen awareness—qualities the founders believed were essential for survival and success in deep space operations.

At first, BLISS operated as a small escort and bounty-hunting group, protecting trade routes and tracking high-value targets. However, their refusal to take unethical contracts quickly set them apart from other mercenary outfits. By the late 2800s, BLISS had earned a reputation for discretion, efficiency, and honor, choosing its clients carefully and never compromising on its core values.
Growth and Recognition (2900 – 2940)

During the early 29th century, BLISS became a trusted name in security and rescue operations, particularly in unregulated and lawless areas where neither the UEE nor corporate security forces dared to tread. When a medical transport convoy was ambushed by outlaws in 2907, BLISS forces intercepted the attackers, secured the wounded, and delivered them to safety without demanding compensation—a defining moment in the organization’s history.

Over the next several decades, BLISS continued to expand, establishing medical evacuation wings and emergency response teams. By 2930, the organization had become well known for its willingness to aid civilians in distress, often responding to distress calls with no expectation of payment.
Modern-Day BLISS (2940 – Present)

In the past several decades, BLISS has solidified its status as a highly capable yet morally guided security service. While maintaining a low profile, the organization has been involved in numerous high-stakes operations, including:

The Pyro Evacuation (2943) – BLISS operatives conducted a covert rescue of trapped colonists and independent traders stranded in Pyro, navigating dangerous conditions to extract over 150 civilians before pirate forces overran the region. Klescher Breakout Prevention (2947) – BLISS operatives intercepted a notorious criminal syndicate attempting a large-scale prison break on Cellin, preventing the escape of over 30 violent criminals. XenoThreat Defense (2951) – When XenoThreat forces launched a large-scale attack on Stanton, BLISS engaged in direct combat operations to protect medical and supply convoys, ensuring essential aid reached affected areas.

Today, BLISS remains one of the most trusted independent security forces in the verse, balancing military efficiency with humanitarian values. It continues to operate as a neutral force, neither beholden to the UEE nor major corporations, taking contracts that align with its guiding principles: protect the innocent, eliminate threats, and uphold honor.

Our Mission

Black Lynx Independent Security Service (BLISS) is more than a private military force—it is a guardian in the void, a shield for the defenseless, and a force for stability in a chaotic universe. Founded on the principles of independence, discretion, and compassion, BLISS provides security and protection to those who need it most, from frontier settlers and stranded pilots to trade convoys and corporate interests.

We do not fight for greed, power, or conquest. We fight to bring order where there is none, to protect those abandoned by the UEE’s reach, and to stand against those who exploit the weak. We take pride in our ability to operate efficiently and quietly, ensuring that our clients—and sometimes even strangers—receive aid without political interference or corporate influence.
Our Code

BLISS operates under a strict code of ethics that defines who we are and how we operate.

Independence Above All – BLISS is loyal only to its own principles. We answer to no government, megacorp, or faction, accepting contracts that align with our values—not those of the highest bidder. Honor in Action – We conduct ourselves with professionalism and respect, both in combat and diplomacy. We do not engage in contracts that promote tyranny, oppression, or needless destruction. Discretion in Service – Every contract is handled with the utmost confidentiality. While we refuse unethical jobs, we do not expose or publicize them—our silence is part of our professionalism. A Hand to Those in Need – BLISS will always assist those in distress, whether they are paying clients or not. Our medical evacuation teams have rescued civilians, stranded pilots, and injured personnel at no cost, even at great risk to our own. Life is more valuable than profit. Loyalty to the Unit – Every BLISS member is part of something greater than themselves. We stand together in both prosperity and adversity, ensuring that no one is left behind.

A Force for Good in the Black

Though we are a private security force, BLISS does not operate as common mercenaries. We are a measured and disciplined presence, offering aid in lawless regions, stepping in where the UEE refuses to act, and providing safety to those caught in the chaos of war.

There have been times when BLISS answered distress calls with no expectation of payment. When a frontier colony was left defenseless after a pirate attack, BLISS ships provided emergency medical aid and evacuations. When a transport convoy was ambushed and left adrift, our ships secured the survivors and delivered them to safety—free of charge. These moments are not exceptions; they are who we are.

Charter

We, the members of Black Lynx Independent Security Service (BLISS), are a collective of dedicated spacefarers united by our passion for Star Citizen. We form BLISS as a casual yet skilled organization committed to security operations, humanitarian aid, and camaraderie. While we take our missions seriously, we always strive to keep the experience enjoyable and laid-back while upholding our duty to aid those in need.

Article I: Name and Purpose
1. Name:

Our organization is known as Black Lynx Independent Security Service, abbreviated as BLISS.
2. Purpose:

BLISS exists to provide a supportive, engaging community where players can collaborate on security operations, emergency response missions, roleplaying scenarios, and high-stakes engagements in Star Citizen. We combine tactical precision with a casual spirit to ensure every member enjoys their time while achieving our shared objectives of security, protection, and humanitarian support.
Article II: Membership
1. Open Membership:

Membership is open to any Star Citizen player who aligns with our values of teamwork, respect, and dedication to the mission.
2. Activity Requirements:

Members must strive to log at least two hours in-game per month to maintain their rank. Any deviations due to real-life commitments must be communicated to command to ensure proper accommodations.
3. Expectations:

All members are expected to contribute positively, communicate openly, and maintain a respectful and friendly environment, both in-game and on our communication platforms.
Article III: Organizational Structure

BLISS maintains a flexible rank system that reflects our operational roles while keeping things fun and merit-based. Our ranks are as follows:

Entry Rank: Scout – For new recruits beginning their journey with BLISS. Standard Rank: Prowler – For operatives regularly participating in missions and demonstrating commitment. Veteran Rank: Hunter – For experienced members trusted with leadership in smaller operations. Specialist Rank: Striker – For members assigned to high-risk or specialized tactical missions. Senior Rank: Sentinel – For those overseeing teams and contributing to mission planning. Command Rank: Warden – The highest level of command, responsible for overall strategic direction and leadership of BLISS.

Promotion through the ranks is earned through active participation, proven skill, and a positive attitude.
Article IV: Code of Conduct
1. Respect and Camaraderie:

All members shall treat one another with respect, maintaining a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Differences in opinion are welcomed as long as they are expressed constructively.
2. Inclusivity and Diversity:

BLISS is a welcoming organization for all players, regardless of gender, race, sexuality, or background. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination or harassment, ensuring a safe and inclusive space for everyone.
3. Humanitarian Responsibility:

BLISS is committed to aiding those in distress. We provide medical evacuations and emergency response services to those in need, sometimes at no cost, when lives are at stake. Our operatives are encouraged to assist stranded pilots, rescue civilians, and offer aid whenever possible.
4. Operational Integrity:

Members must do their best to honor their commitments to missions and maintain confidentiality regarding BLISS operations, tactics, and internal communications.
5. Positive Engagement:

We expect members to avoid toxic behavior and instead foster a culture where every member feels valued and empowered to contribute.
6. Responsibility and Discretion:

BLISS members are responsible for upholding the organization’s reputation at all times, regardless of mission status. However, when not on official BLISS operations, members may engage in any personal gameplay they desire, including independent contracts, PvP, piracy, or other ventures.

1. Living Document:

This charter is a living document and may be amended as needed to better serve the organization’s goals. Proposed changes will be discussed openly with the membership and ratified by a majority vote of the leadership.
2. Dispute Resolution:

Any disputes or issues regarding the interpretation of this charter will be resolved by the BLISS leadership team, with the aim of preserving our organization’s culture and unity.
