In the year 2948 Anderson Black, with the assistance of unnamed associates, bought out a small salvage operation off Hurston. Rebranded as “Black Steel and Salvage”, Anderson took the company and began restoration efforts of several salvageable Drake Interplanetary ships to begin planet side recovery and transport contracts while the main income remained from salvaging and selling refabricated parts. These efforts eventually leading to a small business contract between Drake Interplanetary and BSS where Anderson would field only Drake brand ships and specialized in selling both refabricated and new parts for Drake brand ships. This leading to raised eyebrows as rumors spread of Anderson supplying gangs like 9-Tails within the Stanton system, but such allegations never reached beyond rumors as a Drake Interplanetary investigation found BSS to be innocent of such claims.
Operations were minimal outside of Hurston orbit until the fall of 2950 when Anderson and the undisclosed owner of a failed Terra based shipping company “Resupply Worldwide” came to a business agreement. The now rebranded salvage company, “Blacksteel Worldwide”, began using the newly acquired quantum capable transport craft to begin outreach further into the Stanton system. With the new assets, Anderson and BSWW were able to begin making more of a name for themselves, making sales and partnerships in ArcCorp and even out to Crusader. While still fielding primarily Drake Interplanetary ships BSWW began restoration efforts on ships from all different manufacturers to expand upon their fleet catalogue. After several instances of unprotected BSWW transports being ambushed and left inoperable heaps, Anderson paused transport operations as he began looking to hire pilots and armed crew for his ships wishing to avoid the costs of contracting out to third party security companies.
In early months of 2951 BSWW transports began shipping contracts again, the first few pirates to intercept the transports met fierce combat fighter escort and armed guard. The assailants being destroyed or retreated as BSWW operations began again with remarkable aggression. While under some scrutiny for his “open to all” hiring methods, Anderson was able to amass a sufficient fighting force. This marking the new beginning of BSWW contract work as fighter pilot and infantry support staff began transport escort operation for BSWW ships as well as being hired as third party protection from other companies and even by small Drake Interplanetary shipments as a sign of good faith. Their business with Drake Interplanetary leading to a dealing between the companies and the location of several [REDACTED] class ships were given. Records show the largest deployment of BSWW fighters and transports leaving Hurston orbit quarter three of 2953 as staff were sent out to begin maintenance and reclamation efforts.
Tragedy struck the company in the year 2954. Anderson Black and several higher ups in company hierarchy were lost in a crash after one of their escorts suffered an engine failure then collided with their shuttle. Speculation of the incident resulted in lengthy investigation at which time much of the hired pilot and infantry staff resigned, leaving the company a shell of its former self. Selling off most of its remaining quantum capable craft to keep the company from going under. Lacking funds and personnel the investigation was shelved as most time and effort was focused on recovering their reputation. With some continued assistance from Drake Interplanetary the company kept up enough of a presence to be hired for small contracts but internal struggle left them without proper leadership as Drake soon sent an advisor to assist in management.
While BSWW was able to retain much of its fabrication and ship maintenance staff its outreach was limited and its leadership shuffled between several maintenance officers until someone under the callsign “Aakia” took over and began signing off on business documents. Records for almost all of Anderson’s pilot and infantry staff was limited or non-existent given most were lost in data wipes as well as some being rumored to be UEE defectors or gang members hiding from their previous employers. The exact relation of this “Aakia” and Anderson Black is unknown but what information can be gleaned from interactions with business partners leads some to believe she falls under the latter in his hiring process. Since taking over the company there has been a few pilots seen flying alongside for escort and combat missions as well as unconfirmed reports of BSWW craft being involved with the destruction of Stanton security forces. Both BSWW and Drake Interplanetary deny these claims as a investigation is still under going.

While still small recruitment notices have appeared for the once struggling salvage company seeking anyone from maintenance teams, facility security, pilots and crew to begin this new chapter.
