Hi! Welcome, welcome, what can we do for you today? Looking to buy or sell? Do you need something moved, or disposed of? Maybe you got skills in these departments, look for the small Recruitment sign in the back, and we’ll take care of you.
While the Civilian Defense Force (CDF) and the capable Polaris militia corvette are perhaps
the most overt results of the Militia Mobilization Initiative, the MMI has experimented with
numerous other programs to bolster the defense of sectors throughout the Empire where
the regular forces cannot be reliably deployed. The Guardian Task Force Operations (GTFO)
program has remained one of the most controversial. With the promises of clemency for
crimes committed within the UEE, bands of skillful convicts were banded with special
tracking devices that were encoded to a 1 or 2 system range before being let loose to fully
engage in o ensive operations against the Vanduul. Very few of these criminal teams
achieved notable success except for Detla-12. Locked down to the Stanton and Pyro
systems, D12 succeed in several classified operations before going rogue.
Comprised of a dozen individuals operating from a customized Polaris Corvette, the
RATTLER, D12 caused significant disruption to an illegal corporate conspiracy involving
highly placed operatives within Drake Industries who facilitated the takeover of Ruin Station
by the terrorist organization Xenothreat. Working to shield the corporate ‘realities’ in the
Stanton system from new levels of intrusive oversight from the UEE, a shadowy cabal
representing interests from Hurston Dynamics, Drake Industries and ArcCorp conspired to
frame the “Dirty Dozen”, as the media came to label them, for Xenothreat’s actions instead.
Rather than openly admit to the broad failure and distasteful imagery of criminals serving
the Empire, the MMI issued a burn notice for the entire GTFO program.
The Dirty Dozen are the last of the ‘Clemency Ops’ teams still thought to be operational.
While numerous corporate and Imperial hunters search Pyro and Stanton for these
renegades, losses of armaments, logistics supplies and ships to D12 continue to be
covered up. It is only a matter of time before the Dirty Dozen confronts the system that
betrayed them or find a way to defeat their tracking devices and escape into the vast
expanse of systems along the Banu border.
