History

The Galaxy Goons Private Military Company (PMC) emerged in the turbulent expanse of the Star Citizen universe, carving out a notorious reputation in the late 29th century. Founded in 2893 by a rogue United Empire of Earth (UEE) Navy captain, Kael “Goon” Varkis, the group began as a small band of disgruntled ex-military personnel who rejected the UEE’s rigid bureaucracy. Varkis, a decorated veteran of the Vanduul skirmishes, had grown disillusioned with the UEE’s failure to protect frontier colonies, often leaving them vulnerable to pirate raids and alien threats. Rallying a crew of like-minded outcasts, he established the Galaxy Goons with a single, unyielding mission: to defend those the UEE wouldn’t, for the right price.
Initially operating out of a battered Constellation-class ship, the Goons took on small contracts in the Stanton system, offering protection to independent miners and traders. Their early years were marked by scrappy, high-risk operations, often clashing with pirate outfits like the Nine Tails. What set the Goons apart was their unorthodox approach—Varkis encouraged his team to adopt a “whatever works” mentality, blending military precision with guerilla tactics. This adaptability earned them a reputation for getting the job done, no matter how dirty the work. By 2900, their success allowed them to expand their fleet, acquiring a salvaged RSI Galaxy ship, which became their mobile headquarters and namesake.
The Galaxy Goons’ big break came in 2905 during the Pyro system conflicts, a lawless region teeming with rival factions. Hired by a coalition of independent settlers to secure a mining outpost on Pyro IV, the Goons faced off against a well-armed pirate syndicate. Using their Galaxy ship’s modular capabilities, they deployed a mix of fighters and ground troops, outmaneuvering the larger force in a three-day siege. The victory cemented their status as a formidable PMC, and contracts began pouring in from across the ’verse, ranging from escort missions to corporate espionage.
Despite their growth, the Galaxy Goons maintained a rough-and-tumble culture, often recruiting from the fringes of society—ex-convicts, defectors, and even reformed pirates. Varkis instilled a code of loyalty: “We’re goons, but we’re your goons.” This ethos, combined with their willingness to take on morally gray jobs, made them a polarizing force. The UEE branded them as mercenaries with questionable ethics, while frontier colonies hailed them as saviors. By 2945, the Goons had established a semi-permanent base on Leir III, a planet known for its independent streak, where they continue to operate, offering their services to anyone who can meet their price.
Today, the Galaxy Goons are a well-known name in the Star Citizen universe, with a fleet of modular ships and a roster of battle-hardened operatives. They remain a wildcard in the galaxy, thriving in the chaos of uncharted space, always ready to take on the next fight—for freedom, for profit, or just for the thrill of it.

Manifesto

Our Creed: Loyalty in Chaos
We are goons, but we’re your goons. Loyalty to our clients and our crew is our unbreakable bond. In the lawless expanse, where empires falter and pirates prey, we thrive. We take the jobs others won’t touch—protection, extraction, or retribution. If you’ve got the credits, we’ve got the grit. We don’t ask for your morals, only your trust.
Our Way: Whatever Works
We reject the rigid doctrines of the UEE Navy. Our strength lies in adaptability. From the modular decks of our RSI Galaxy to the uncharted rocks of Pyro, we fight smart and dirty. Military precision meets guerilla cunning—we use what works, no matter how messy. The galaxy doesn’t play fair, and neither do we.
Our People: Outcasts, United
We are the exiles, the defectors, the reformed rogues. The Galaxy Goons welcome those cast aside by society, forging a family of the fearless. On Leir III, our home, we stand as a testament to independence. We don’t bow to empires; we build our own.
Our Promise: We Fight for You
To the miners, traders, and settlers of the ‘verse: when the stars turn dark, the Galaxy Goons will be there. For freedom, for profit, for the thrill—we’ll take the fight to the edge and beyond. Call us. We’re ready.
