Founded in 2951, the Interstellar Beverage Trade Federation (IBTF) was established to bring together the galaxy’s finest taverns, bars, and beverage traders under one prestigious banner. Recognizing the need for a unified standard of excellence across the interstellar beverage industry, the IBTF was created to ensure that customers, no matter where they are in the universe, can trust the quality and service of IBTF-affiliated establishments.

Our goals

Membership and Certification Process
The IBTF membership and certification process is designed to maintain the integrity of our federation and uphold the quality we promise to customers.

  1. Application: Business owners who lead active bars or beverage trading establishments can apply for IBTF membership. Acceptance into the federation means the IBTF acknowledges the establishment’s presence in the industry and begins the process of monitoring its adherence to our standards.
  2. Verification: Once a member, the establishment undergoes an initial verification process. This ensures that the business meets the basic standards required by the IBTF. Verified businesses are recognized as meeting the minimum criteria for quality and service.
  3. Seal of Quality: After verification, establishments can earn one of three levels of the IBTF Seal of Quality:
  • Bronze Seal: Awarded to bars that consistently meet the basic IBTF standards.
  • Silver Seal: Given to establishments that exceed basic standards, offering exceptional customer service and quality.
  • Golden Seal: The highest honor, awarded to bars that exemplify excellence in every aspect of their operations, from customer relations to beverage quality.

Charter

Article I: Name and Purpose

Section 1.1: The name of this organization shall be the Interstellar Beverage Trade Federation (IBTF).
Section 1.2: The purpose of the IBTF is to unite bars, taverns, and beverage traders across the galaxy, promoting high standards of quality, service, and ethical trade practices within the interstellar beverage industry.

Article II: Membership

Section 2.1: Membership is open to the head of any active bar, tavern, or beverage trading establishment within the galaxy.
Section 2.2: Membership is contingent upon passing the IBTF’s application process, which includes verification of basic standards.
Section 2.3: Members are expected to uphold the principles and standards of the IBTF. Failure to do so may result in the revocation of membership.

Article III: Certification Process

Section 3.1: The IBTF offers a three-tiered certification system: Bronze, Silver, and Golden Seals of Quality.
Section 3.2: The Bronze Seal is awarded to establishments that meet basic IBTF standards over a period of time.
Section 3.3: The Silver Seal is awarded to establishments that exceed basic standards, demonstrating exceptional customer service and quality.
Section 3.4: The Golden Seal is the highest level of certification, awarded to establishments that exemplify excellence in all areas of operation.

Article IV: Governance

Section 4.1: The IBTF shall be governed by a council of elected board members.
Section 4.2: The council shall be responsible for overseeing the certification process, membership applications, and the general operation of the federation.
Section 4.3: Decisions within the council shall be made by a majority vote, with each council member having one vote.

Article V: Meetings

Section 5.1: The IBTF shall hold semi-regular General Assemblies where all members are invited to participate in discussions and propose amendments.
Section 5.2: Special meetings may be called by the council as needed to address urgent matters.
