History

Founded in 2930, the Taithi Defense Fleet was born out of a necessity for defense against the growing threat of the Vanduul. As the Vanduul began to launch more aggressive raids on human colonies and trade routes, the organization set out to establish a strong, effective front line of defense, all while assisting Citizens in need across the galaxy. This dual purpose — safeguarding human life and ensuring the survival of the UEE — became the cornerstone of our mission.

Despite the initial promise, the organization’s early years were marked by extreme challenges. The creation of the group was not without sacrifice, with a significant loss of life during the early stages as personnel and resources were stretched thin. However, driven by the vision of its founder, Leilani, the group persevered. Leilani’s unwavering determination and leadership were crucial to ensuring the organization’s survival and growth during those harrowing times.

By 2954, the organization achieved one of its most significant milestones: the acquisition of its first capital ship. This acquisition marked a turning point, providing the necessary firepower and strategic capabilities to better defend against the Vanduul threat and to extend help to the Citizens it vowed to protect.

Throughout the years, the TDF has continued to grow in both influence and capability, refining its mission and expanding its reach to safeguard humanity. TDF’s legacy is built not only on its strength in battle but also on its compassion and commitment to helping those in need, regardless of the circumstances.
