History

How Ryker Industries came to be

Ryker Industries was founded with a single goal in mind – bring prosperity to the ‘verse.

After a long-serving military career, I decided that I wanted to see the universe from a different perspective. Gone were my days of seeing charred landscapes and mangled metal with every new planet, moon or space station that the Navy deployed me to. It was time to start being the change I had spent so long thinking I was fighting for. If our forces weren’t going to achieve it, maybe I could.

Over my service in the UEE Navy, I rose through the ranks to the position of Rear Admiral of the Ninth Fleet, commanding the loyalty of thousands of men, women, and aliens alike. Leading a successful campaign to help liberate the human settlements in fringe systems from their OMC oppressors, I have earned medals for honour, valour, and courage.

But after my success, I stepped back from the world of field operations, and soon realised I could make more of a difference outside of the UEE.

Cashing in my UEE payout, and being bestowed with an honorary parting gift in the form of a reclaimed ship from early in my career, I set about my goal of bringing hope to the universe.

Manifesto

Ryker Industries has one clear goal: Growth.

The Organisation was founded with the intention of taking experiences from service in the UEE Navy, and adjusting our business model to suit and evolve. Whilst many Organisations in the ‘verse may focus on industrial work, or serving as mercenaries, Ryker Industries looks to incorporate the two.

Our divisions are not divisive – those wishing to expand their skills in the industrial sector will be guided through their careers, whilst those more apt with firearms or behind the stick of a fighter vessel will have their abilities tested. Equally, if our armed division wishes to swap their rifle for a tractor beam, or their missile rack for a mining laser, we allow for a mixture of roles.

Traditionally, we would not put those without combat experience at risk – but if keen industrialists wish to push into dangerous territory, we do not prevent them from taking that risk. We would only ask that they be accompanied by a skilled combat technician, or have undertaken some form of combat training, to minimise risk to life, resources, and equipment.

Our Industries

Ryker Industries is, first and foremost, a construction and manufacturing specialist. Our very own CNOU Pioneer, the jewel of our Organisation, allows us to set up Colonial Outposts across the ‘verse. With a preference for locations within protected space, simply for ease of trade with reputable companies, our Outposts will primarily focus on resource extraction, logistics, and manufacturing of vital components.

Our first objective within the Organisation is to establish ourselves as a key supplier to the UEE Navy, as well as to reputable PMCs and local security services. Eventually, we aim to build a relationship with Anvil Aerospace, and Aegis Dynamics, in order to secure rights to assemble Hornet and Sabre-class vessels – both for use by the company, and for supplying to our clients.

Our Fleet, Your Fleet, Everyone’s Fleet

Ryker Industries Contractors are able to supply their own vessels, and in doing so will take the majority of the payment from any work undertaken, to cover operating costs, maintenance, and fuel.

In the event that you as a Contractor do not own a vessel capable of undertaking the roles you wish to do, then one will be provided (if available), at the cost of a higher management fee from the Organisation. Ryker Industries has access to a range of vessels, ranging from the humble Drake Cutter for those small-scale delivery jobs, up to the Ryker Industries flagship – the ‘Dauntless’, a Naval-spec Aegis Javelin.
