CITIZEN DOSSIER

My name is Malcolm Reynolds, in my youth I volunteered for the Independents army during the Unification War against the Alliance, gaining the rank of sergeant during that time. I had fought in most of the battles during the war, including the Battle of Du-Khang in 2510, a long winter campaign in New Kashmir where I commanded a platoon, and was involved in the ground campaign during the Battle of Sturges. After the war, I acquired my own ship, a derelict 03-K64 Firefly-class transport (don't ask for the registration papers, I never updated them). This ship I promptly named Serenity after the Battle of Serenity Valley.

Through some unusual happenstance while evading Unificators, I found myself in a system call Hurston, where no one has heard of The Alliance. Stranger still the year appears to be 2944, Earth That Was is the seat of a multi-system empire, and we are certainly not alone in this 'Verse.
Bereft of my friends, and everything I knew, I must now start anew.
