Arthur Eriksen was born on Tohil III in the Tohil system, along the Perry Line between the United Empire of Earth and the Xi'An Empire. Ever since he was old enough to gaze upon them, he was fascinated by the stars, and always wanted to become an explorer, but he was from a relatively poor family, who could not even hope to purchase a starship.
Eriksen joined the UEE Navy at a relatively young age, and spent several years protecting planets on the fringes of UEE space. He fought pirates and Vanduul alike, but he always had his mind set on one goal - to explore the universe.
After saving up a large sum of money through several years of service, Eriksen finally left the military and joined the Moneylanian Spacefleet. There, he quickly rose to the rank of Captain, and now owns a Reliant, a Constellation Aquila and its snub fighter, an Archimedes.
