Welcome to Blackfire Division

A brotherhood of veterans bound by loyalty and integrity, Blackfire Division stands for honor above orders. We take on the galaxy’s toughest missions, from bounty hunting to exploration, with one goal: to do what’s right, no matter the cost. In Blackfire, every member

History

Born from betrayal but fueled by unshakeable integrity, the group began with a small faction of Navy veterans, all scarred by a mission gone wrong. Ordered to eliminate a colony of civilians under false pretenses, they refused, placing loyalty to their moral code above blind allegiance. Their defiance led to swift exile from the Navy, branded as traitors despite their righteous stand. Cast out, they turned to the stars to forge a new path, drawing together like-minded outcasts who believed that honor and courage still had a place in the galaxy.

While they established themselves independently, they maintained a Navy-style rank structure, using it more as a guideline than strict hierarchy. Rank provides structure in their operations, helping coordinate complex missions and ensure accountability, but everyone has a voice. Decisions are made collectively, with respect given to each member’s experience and insight. They believe that true leadership is earned, and while rank is recognized, it never overshadows the core principles they share.

Driven by a code of honor, they became a team of fierce guardians willing to do the jobs that others wouldn’t, from bounties and fuel runs to risky rescue operations. Known for keeping their word, they stand for those caught in the web of corporate greed or government corruption. To them, every contract is a mission, every client is a cause, and every job done well is a testament to the principles that guide them.

Operations and Services
While their founding values are uncompromising, their work often blurs ethical lines, making them one of the most reliable but feared groups in space. Here’s what they specialize in:

Bounty Hunting: With a keen eye for justice, they take on bounties across the galaxy, from petty criminals to high-level threats. While most clients see their bounties as business, this group approaches it as a calling, believing each capture or elimination restores balance to the chaos of space.

Cargo and Trade Escorts: Known for discretion and strength, they guard valuable cargo across dangerous routes. They protect assets from pirates, rebels, and rogue factions, and are known to defend their charges with unyielding resolve, even in the face of impossible odds.

Fuel Resupply Missions: They often provide fuel services to stranded or desperate clients, especially in hostile or remote regions where help is scarce. It’s said that their ships bring relief like a mirage in the desert, recharging vessels of any affiliation for a price or a favor.

Rescue and Relief Operations: While not typically the “rescue team,” they can be counted on to aid innocents in peril. Some clients report miraculous escapes from asteroid belts or pirate territories, guided to safety by the shadow of their ships.

Gray Zone Activities: They’re no strangers to the black market and frequently engage in less savory tasks when it suits their needs or aligns with their moral code. Whether it’s smuggling resources into oppressive regimes to aid rebels or “borrowing” supplies from corrupted corporations, they operate in the gray, knowing that every mission builds the reputation of reliability.

Reputation
Though seen as rough around the edges and at times ethically flexible, they have built a reputation on dependability and a strict honor code. Once a contract is sealed, they see it through to the end, whether it’s a routine cargo run or a high-stakes extraction. Some see them as mercenaries without a cause; others view them as heroes in the shadows. But one thing is certain—when they’re on the job, no power in the universe can sway them from seeing it done.

Manifesto

Manifesto of Blackfire Division
We are more than soldiers, more than mercenaries. We are the guardians of a forgotten code, cast out yet steadfast, bound by honor in a universe often devoid of it.

To Protect the Innocent:
We reject orders that betray the values of life and integrity. Where others see profit, we see responsibility. We will stand as a shield for those caught between the galaxy’s darkness and despair, even if it means facing shadows ourselves.

To Honor Every Contract:
When we give our word, it is unbreakable. In a world of shifting loyalties and corrupt allegiances, we vow to complete every mission we accept. Our reputation is not for sale, our word not for negotiation.

To Act with Purpose:
Every action has meaning, and every mission must align with our code. We operate in the gray, knowing that justice is rarely black and white. But we draw the line at needless cruelty and senseless destruction. We will do what must be done—but never without purpose.

To Stand Together as Equals:
Rank gives structure, but every voice holds weight. From Captain to Quartermaster, we are bound by the same commitment. We are a family forged by shared experience and tempered in battle. We act as one, bound by our oath to each other and the galaxy.

To Embrace the Challenge of the Unknown:
The stars hold secrets, dangers, and opportunities. We are explorers as well as protectors, embracing the mystery of what lies beyond. From deep space to hostile planets, we seek to uncover the unknown and face every threat with courage.

To Reclaim Integrity from the Void:
We are outcasts by choice, warriors by necessity, and honorable by conviction. We stand against corruption, betrayal, and tyranny, even as we operate outside the constraints of conventional morality. In this, we find freedom and purpose.

We are Blackfire Division. We do what others will not. We go where others fear to tread. We uphold the values lost in the darkness and carry the light of honor wherever we roam. To those who walk alongside us, we offer protection and loyalty. To those who stand against us, a warning: we are unbreakable.
