82nd Steel Talons / 82ST

The 82nd Steel Talons was a special ops group that was formed a long time before the UEE was even a thought and space travel was just a dream. They operated outside the military but followed military rules to stay off the radar. They operated for close to twenty years, starting as just a ground special ops group and by the end they were also an elite helicopter and jet fighter unit. They were eventually discovered and before they could be put on trial, the members disappeared and were never heard from again.

Their operation notes, missions and everything else was safeguarded and handed down from generation to generation. When the human race was finally able to travel through the stars and explore outside the solar system, the 82nd Steel Talons descendants got together to discuss possible plans of getting the squad reactivated for any type of operation in space. They argued and debated but decided that it wasn’t the time to get the 82nd operational and they went their separate ways.

With the creation of the UEE in the 27th century and the consequences of the war between humans and the Tevarin, the few remaining 82nd descendants meet to again discuss trying to reactivate the 82nd into the UEE military. Unfortunately, most of the members said they will not do it and left without even discussing the possibility of starting the 82nd outside the military. Of the few people left in the that meeting, it was the descendant that calls himself Wolfe_Garm that decided to start the 82nd up as a stand alone organization. With the help of another descendant who called himself Iceberg, they agreed to create the 82nd Steel Talons and let them create a new name for the unit.
