The Days before Enlightenment

The founders of Apex People’s Liberation Front hail from Kaleeth. Despite being born to a community of Tevarin sympathisers since the Empire stole their lands in the first Tevarin war, they were stolen from their families and forced into imperial schools for indoctrination. They were convinced of the imperial propaganda, and it would be decades before they could shake its shackles.

The founders of Apex People’s Liberation Front would meet during the first assault against Nine Tails by Crusader Industries. Falling for the propaganda and Crusader’s façade of humanitarian ethics, Apex People’s Liberation Front assisted Crusader in destroying Nine-Tails which led to a critical shortage of food and medical supplies for the innocent civilian population living in the haven of Grim Hex.

Still seduced by state-sponsored media, Apex People’s Liberation Front went on to assist the UEE Navy in repelling the alleged invasion of the Stanton system by the Pyro based gang Xenothreat. Which resulted in the permanent garrisoning of a UEE Javelin and her task force to clamp down n what little freedom Stanton was given. Perplexed on how Xenothreat was capable of acquiring several military-grade Idris class frigates, Apex People’s Liberation Front hacked into several secure data facilities around the empire. Several classified documents revealed that the UEE Advocacy and Navy were supplying Xenothreat with munitions, money and training to stage the invasion of Stanton. This was done to legitimize the Empire’s creation of surveillance networks that are dedicated to spying on private civilians and citizens of the Empire as well as foreign powers. In retaliation for leaking the classified documents, the members of Apex People’s Liberation Front were captured by the UEE Advocacy and pressed into slavery for Hurston Dynamics. Deep within the work mines of Klescher, several members of Apex People’s Liberation Front was granted the blessing of the God-King Pico the Penguin. Soon Apex People’s Liberation Front was rescued by Tecia “Twitch” Pacheco and the Otoni Syndicate. Under the guidance of Pico, Apex People’s Liberation Front waged a guerilla war across Stanton, striking down docked navy warships then disappearing into the black. Raiding Hurston Security depots to recover medical supplies, food and credits for the impoverished workers of the system. When possible, Apex People’s Liberation Front organized rescues of enslaved people from Klescher much like what Twitch did for them.

After a year of savage attrition, Apex People’s Liberation Front found herself allying with REDACTED for a string of events that would become known as the “Jumptown 2.0 Wars” With the navy limited on resources, Apex focused on taking down military contractors paid by the UEE. Apex People’s Liberation Front defended the people’s production of the medicinal maze from UEE backed privateers. Throughout the bloody battles, Apex People’s Liberation Front still found the time to spread the message and goodwill of Pico to the free people of Stanton. During the events of Jumptown, Crusader Security took the opportunity to launch another attack on Grim Hex and Nine tails. Apex People’s Liberation Front took up the sword once again to defend her new home. Apex People’s Liberation Front bolstered the Nine-Tails fleet with their flagship the hammerhead Takeda Akari. With superior firepower, Apex People’s Liberation Front was able to recover stolen medical supplies and cover the evacuation of civilians of Grim Hex by destroying Crusader Security’s terrapins. Once again the UEE was staging another false flag invasion of Stanton. Seeing an opportunity to sever the navy’s ability to oppress Stanton, Apex People’s Liberation Front flew once more to INS Jericho, this time against the navy. Using an unconventional method of deploying ballista in space, Apex People’s Liberation Front successfully hindered the replenishment of the navy’s javelin destroyer. With hit-and-run bombings against both the navy and Xenothreat, forcing both parties to retreat, Stanton was shown that a future with liberty was possible.
