Establishing Principles and Governance for the Astral Vanguard
Preamble
We, the members of the Astral Vanguard, in pursuit of our mission to uphold honor, unity, and prosperity among the stars, do hereby establish this charter to codify our principles, structure, and governance. Through this charter, we seek to ensure the continued strength and integrity of our organization in the universe of Star Citizen.
Article I: Name and Purpose
Section 1: Name
The name of this organization shall be the “Astral Vanguard,” hereafter referred to as “the Vanguard.”
Section 2: Purpose
The purpose of the Vanguard is to provide security, military expertise, and humanitarian aid as required across the universe of Star Citizen, guided by the principles of honor, unity, and prosperity.
Article II: Principles and Values
Section 1: Honor
The Vanguard shall uphold the principles of valor, integrity, and courage in all its actions and decisions.
Section 2: Unity
The Vanguard shall foster a sense of unity, loyalty, and respect among its members, recognizing the strength of diversity.
Section 3: Prosperity
The Vanguard shall seek economic viability to fulfill its missions and shall commit to using its resources for humanitarian purposes and the betterment of society.
Article III: Leadership and Structure
Section 1: Leadership
The Vanguard shall be led by a Commander-in-Chief, supported by a Council of Commanders, consisting of the Second in Command and Third in Command.
Section 2: Commanders
Commanders shall be elected by a majority vote of Vanguard members and shall serve a renewable term of two standard years.
Section 3: Decision-Making
Major decisions, including alliances, major missions, and changes to this charter, shall be made by a majority vote of Commanders.
Article IV: Membership
Section 1: Eligibility
Membership in the Vanguard shall be open to individuals who share our principles and values and who have successfully completed the initiation and training process.

Changes to this charter may be proposed by a majority vote of Commanders and must be approved by a two-thirds majority vote of all members.
Article VI: Ratification
This charter shall be considered ratified upon approval by the founding members and shall become the governing document of the Astral Vanguard.
Article VII: Implementation
This charter shall take effect immediately upon ratification, and all members shall be bound by its provisions.
