History

The Aurora Collective was established in 2943 in the Elysium system by a diverse group of individuals,Including former UEE Navy officers, seasoned miners, independent explorers, and pragmatic traders amongst their ranks. United by a desire for autonomy and a distrust of both rigid government structures and exploitative corporations, these founders sought to create an organization that could navigate the complexities of the galaxy with flexibility and discretion. The Collective was conceived as a self-reliant community that could protect its interests while seizing opportunities in both lawful and less-than-lawful spheres.

Purpose and Values

The Aurora Collective is built on principles of mutual protection and strategic cooperation. Their motto, “For the Light of All,” symbolizes their commitment to safeguarding their members and allies, while also pursuing their own prosperity in an unpredictable galaxy. While they value loyalty and community, the Collective is not bound by rigid moral codes. Instead, they operate in the grey areas of legality, willing to engage in morally ambiguous activities if it serves the greater good of the organization. Their primary focus is on survival, profit, and the protection of their own.

Current Operations

Though rooted in the Elysium system, the Aurora Collective has expanded its presence to the Stanton system, a region rich with both opportunities and challenges. Stanton’s blend of corporate power struggles and frontier lawlessness has provided fertile ground for the Collective to operate, as they protect their interests, forge strategic alliances, and capitalize on the system’s chaotic environment.

Allies and Diplomacy

The Aurora Collective values diplomacy and strategic alliances, recognizing the power of collaboration in achieving their objectives. They often engage with organizations that can advance their interests, favoring partnerships based on mutual benefit over one-sided commitments. While independence remains a core principle, the Collective is open to diplomacy and mutually beneficial alliances. For them, diplomacy is a practical tool, employed with careful calculation and a focus on maximizing potential advantages.

Future Aspirations

As they solidify their position in Stanton, the Aurora Collective has its sights set on expanding its influence across multiple star systems. Their long-term goal is to establish a network of bases and outposts that will secure their autonomy and ensure their prosperity in the galaxy. Whether through trade, exploration, or more covert activities, the Collective remains focused on navigating the complex web of opportunities and challenges that the universe presents, always with an eye toward the greater good of the organization.

The Aurora Collective, under the leadership of CMDR-Mattzarellaa, stands as a versatile and adaptive force in the galaxy, navigating the fine line between law and opportunity. They are driven by a commitment to their own, ready to engage in whatever means necessary to ensure their survival and success in an ever-changing universe.

Charter

1. Cargo Protection Above All:

The primary mission is the defense and protection of the organization’s cargo. All members must prioritize safeguarding cargo assets above other objectives during missions.
In any conflict or potential threat scenario, immediate defensive measures are to be taken to ensure the cargo’s safety, including evasive maneuvers, calling for reinforcements, or engaging in combat.

2. Cooperation with Allied Forces:

Collaboration with allied organizations and factions is encouraged. All members are expected to engage diplomatically and cooperatively with allies.
When operating alongside allies, members should share intelligence, coordinate tactics, and offer assistance as needed to achieve mutual objectives.
Members should avoid any actions that could strain alliances unless directly ordered by higher command or when the safety of cargo is at imminent risk.

3. Engagement with Pirate Forces:

Pirates and known hostile entities are to be engaged on sight. Members must take immediate action to neutralize pirate threats to maintain safe passage for the organization’s assets.
No mercy is to be shown to pirates. Their ships are to be destroyed, and their operations disrupted whenever possible.
If pirates are detected but not posing an immediate threat to the cargo, a strategic approach should be taken, considering available resources and potential risks before engagement.

4. Engagement with Bounty Targets:

Bounty targets identified by the organization or its allies are to be pursued and neutralized with all available force.
Members are authorized to engage not only the bounty target but also any allied ships or forces that defend or assist the target.
All bounty engagements must be conducted with the intent to secure the target as efficiently as possible while minimizing collateral damage to allied forces or neutral parties.

5. Rules of Engagement in Neutral or Allied Space:

In neutral or allied-controlled space, all combat engagements must adhere to the local laws and regulations unless they conflict with the primary directive of cargo protection.
If local laws prohibit engagement, members should prioritize defensive maneuvers and withdrawal over direct conflict, unless the cargo or a high-value target is at immediate risk.

6. De-escalation and Avoidance:

When possible, de-escalation should be attempted, especially in situations where the cargo is not under direct threat, or when encountering forces that may be open to negotiation.
Avoid unnecessary conflicts that do not align with the organization’s primary objectives.
