Relaxed and welcoming EU-timezone PvE-focused organisation

Check out our Discord!

History

With hundreds of orgs in star citizen, back in 2021 another one was created.

Griffin ISS.

As we grew older we realised that gaming can’t allways be the priority. With our real lifes needing to come first. And as such we had a goal in sight:

To create a welcoming and relaxed org with no drama, no time commitments and where you could just find good company to enjoy the game with.

To read about what our goals are with the org, please read our Manifesto.

Manifesto

About us
Griffin ISS is a relaxed community based out of the EU timezone who want to enjoy all that Star Citizen has to offer without drama, obligations or much fuss.

Our Mission
To create a chilled-out atmosphere, where the freedom of choice remains the core foundation on which our organization stands. Being friendly and supportive towards each other are also key aspects that define our organization. You’ve got a problem? We are happy to help you out.

Lawful Alignment
While our goal is to create an environment where people can chill and enjoy the game, we have decided to also be on the more lawful side of the game. Where we will not go after PVE players like traders, miners or salvagers. Instead we will focus on the people who have opted into the PVP side of the game, like criminal players, pirates, smugglers or players who have actively chosen to do mission types that give counter PVP missions.
More about our pvp rules can be found under our charter tab.

When joining us as a new member
We’d like to stress that you should always feel like you can join in, it’s understandable that people can sometimes feel like an outsider when they join a group of people who know each other well, but trust us, we can’t wait to get to meet you. There is no skill level or time commitment needed to join GRIFFIN, but we aim at having members who are active at least once a week. But our golden rule is that real life must always come first.

During planned events, we ask that you respect the established structure of our organisation. As such we expect you to keep comms discipline, refrain from talking over each other and follow directions if they are given from higher ranking members.
We aim to take full advantage of everything the game has to offer, whether it’s peaceful exploration or medical, cargo running and mining. Or switching gears and jumping into action packed dogfights and ground-based combat, over specialised sectors Military, Industry and Science & Exploration. Our gameplay options are only limited by our own imaginations.

Charter

Community Griffin ISS is a welcoming and safe place for everyone and in order to maintain that atmosphere, all players are expected to:
  • Treat all other players with respect, including members of our community and those who are not.
  • Avoid engaging in controversial topics in a manner which creates arguments or is divisive.
  • Refrain from excessive self-promotion such as: frequent requests for YouTube subscribers, promotion of particular companies, projects or ideas, etc.
Keep discussions, uploaded or shared materials appropriate to a general audience. If it’s safe for a work environment, it’s safe to post here.
In Game All Griffin ISS players are:
  • Forbidden from griefing or trolling other Star Citizen players, in accordance with rules outlined by Cloud Imperium Games
Encouraged to avoid illegal activities as we are primarily but not exclusively a legal, PvE oriented organisation Griffin ISS is not a democracy but we do believe in everyone’s right to have their side heard.

Rules Of Engagement for PvP

As a lawful organization, the members of Griffin ISS are sworn to follow the laws dictated by the Advocacy. Meaning its members are not allowed to actively seek out, attack, pirate or in any way grief industrial or peaceful players.

However as a lawful organization the members of Griffin ISS are allowed to freely hunt and attack criminals and smugglers.
NOTE: Any player who harasses or in any way acts hostile / attacks us or our members, are free to be engaged, as it’s an act of self defense.

When we refer to criminals we mean the following:
  • Players with Crimestat / are marked red.
  • Players who are attacking or griefing industrial or any other player.
  • Players who are performing smuggling by trading illegal goods.
Situations outside the normal ROE for PvP.
  • E*vent’s like jumptown* are pvp events, anyone who goes to these locations are free game.
  • PvP bounty missions to hunt down criminal players, anyone showing up as a target on these missions are fair game..
  • Locations such as drug labs and trade routes connected to these are counted as criminal activities and are therefore fair game.
  • Missions that trigger counter PVP missions, should also be considered fair game, since the players who take these know what they are getting themself into.

This will be revised at a later date once reputation gains/losses are introduced. To avoid reputation losses that could prevent us from landing on lawfull stations.

  • Pyro and other criminal systems will be an exception to the ROE. These systems are fully outside the law and anything there is to be considered armed and dangerous and hostile, until proven otherwise.
Aka, these systems are meant to be full PVP.
