Quality > Quantity is the motto that we’ve lived up too since our formation in 2008.
Our esteemed leaders have summoned a conclave to put into writing the foundation of our Syndicate of dominance.
NOTE: We have a Javelin Destroyer & 3 Idris-M in our fleet among many other ships.
Imitatio Dei
“Imitation of a God”
Genitive form of Latin
Our accomplishments as a guild prior to Star Citizen:
After Aion, we slowly dispersed to complete Real Life accomplishments, due to the lack of a quality MMO titles to dominate. Once SWTOR released we hit the ground hard on the server of The Twin Spears. We had some of the first max rank PvP Players, downed all the world bosses first on our server, and accomplished a lot in a game that was so terribly designed for the amount of hype it received from its debut.
Our esteemed leaders have summoned a conclave to put into writing the foundation of our Faith. Please come back soon to learn more about our community.
1) You must be 18 years of age or older and have a mature attitude
2) You must have prior MMO experience and knowledge of basic MMO workings (IE. abbreviations)
3) All guild members are required to use the same name in-game that they have on our guild forums. You will also be required to have the same name on voice chat. This is simply to help everyone in the guild know who is who.
4) Imitatio Dei believes that your character reflects your sincerity to the game, and therefore, we will not accept members who use names such as: “WTFPwned”, “Ikilljoo”, “Ikilluded”, “Stabby Mcstabstab”, or others of the like.
5) We encourage all members and new recruits to check the forums at least once a week. It is a great source to find out about future guild events, class information, and other game info. It’s also a great way to get to know your fellow guild members.
We also encourage all members to join the Facebook Group.

6. Imitatio Dei is part of the A.M.P Alliance in Star Citizen. All squadrons within the A.M.P alliance are to be respected, honored, and treated as equals. You’ll treat your alliance members as you would your fellow guild member. If an issue arises with another alliance member. Treat it as you would a guild member; and approach someone in the ID Council to deal with the matter.
NEVER take Alliance issues into your own hands. Creating drama within an organized – like minded group of players working under a common goal is never a positive. If this occurs, and ID leadership isn’t contacted you’ll be removed without hesitation.
Members of Imitatio Dei who violate the following rules will be immediately removed from the guild and not allowed to reapply. In addition, under certain circumstances the member will be reported immediately to Cloud Imperium Games and the community. At the discretion of the Council, other guilds that the member applies to may be provided with proof of the former members’ actions so that they can make an informed decision whether to allow that individual into their ranks.
1) Members will not bot/kill-trade or otherwise exploit the mechanics of the game to progress in Star Citizen.
2) Members will not violate the Cloud Imperium Games Terms of Use.
Individuals unable to follow this code of conduct will be spoken to by the leadership of Imitatio Dei and removed from the guild for continued infractions.
1) Members of Imitatio Dei will conduct themselves on all forums and other websites in a way that is humble, rational, and respectful to their fellow guild mates and the gaming community at large.
2) Do not start fights or engage in drama. If an individual or group is personally attacking you or the guild take the higher ground and remember that everything you do affects this guild and the image that it represents. If you must defend yourself do so rationally and respectfully. Do not feed flames.
3) Post with proper spelling, grammar and punctuation. There are spell check functions on almost every forum that only take a few seconds to use.
4) Do not, under any circumstances, disagree with another member of the guild publicly. To members outside of our guild we are one, single, solid entity (this is from an aspect of togetherness, not an aspect of “we’re better than you”). No matter how dumb something might be that is said by somebody in ID, it was still said by somebody in ID. Talk to them privately if you feel like they’re misrepresenting the guild, but openly fighting with guild members is just about the worst way that we can present ourselves.
5) Although we do not have a strict play-time requirement, we still expect members to let us know if they will be away from the game for a significant amount of time. It helps the Council plan guild events, as well as letting fellow guild members know when you’ll be unavailable. Please post in the Leave of Absence forum if you will be unable to play for more than 3+ days due to a RL issue.
1) Voice Chat: You are REQUIRED to use voice chat while participating in guild events. This includes having a working microphone. Although we do not require it 100% of the time, we will make note of those that only use voice chat during guild events. Think of it this way: “If I only logged in during major events, would you want me in your group?”
2) Guild organized events (e.g. Fleet Raids, Station Raids, etc..) will only be led by a member of the Council, or a member designated by the council.
3) Do not argue with whomever is leading the raid. Disagree in private after the event is over, or bring problems up during a lue in battle, but never argue while an engagement is in progress. If the person leading the raid tells you to do something, then do it, regardless of if you think it’s a stupid idea or not. This is absolutely critical and is not open to interpretation. AFTER the battle we will discuss anything that needs to be adjusted/changed to do better in the next engagement. This discussion is important, but it does not exist DURING the engagement. Mistakes will be critical in Star Citizen as losing the components inside your ship will be devastating to the advancement of the fleets goals.
1) We are a PvP guild first and foremost, and thus everybody should strive to excel at that aspect of the game. If you are showing signs of not being on the same level as everyone else, then we will work with you to get you to a higher level, because a guild is only as strong as its weakest members. The most important thing for members is to maintain a positive attitude that can handle constructive criticism. If you constantly make up excuses, then you will never get better.
2) Do not be afraid to bring up issues. If something is bothering you regarding tactics, guild business, or another guild member, post a thread on the forums, or contact a council member. We want to solve problems, and improve the guild as a whole, not leave issues to fester and boil because we aren’t aware of them.
