Ingenium / INGENIUM

The year was 2125 and the mars terraforming was going great. People were excited and it was almost an everyday conversation. Mentioning how proud we were as a human race and what this all could mean. Of the 4876 workers there, most were well established minds and persons of powerful families or money. Then suddenly a simple calculation error led to all the oxygen to dissolve and killing all 4876 workers. It was an absolute tragedy and thousands were directly affected with the horrible losses in terms of family, money, investment.

The Even family, the ones who held the highest investment were the most effected and demanded to find out what caused the issue. After millions spent and hundreds of hired detectives and scientists it turned out that someone who bought their way into the project was severely under qualified for the job which led to the mass destruction. The Even family had a few male members of the family there working and seeing over the project. The current head of the family, Garek Even, was torn apart and instantly took action. Calling upon those who he trusted he formed what is now known as Ingenium. A secret society built for the ones with far reach and strong fists in society. Calling a meeting of General Forhes, the second in command of the Americas military, Senator Stephen Nguyen (who oversaw the political agenda with the mars terraform and also lost someone in the tragedy), and Kendrick Yeasee (the owner of one of the largest goods transportation companies that was one of the first to take planet to planet trips), along with the mind and money behind it all Garek Even held their first and historic meeting.
“This can’t happen again, I think we need to fight and take matters in our own hands. We need to fight and dissolve this corporation and catering to the shadows of the pull of money, strength, and lies for the ones who do so with ill intent or self gain. We need to fight for not what we hate, but for what we love.” Was the final words of Garek Even at the first meeting and led to the nods of all who were present for the meeting.

Working together and bouncing communication back and forth, the second attempt to terraform mars was underway. MIlitary pull, assassinations, and public catering were taking place ensuring the project was in correct order and anyone that the now ingenium found to be a threat to the safety of mars or the people working, were disposed of. Pulling strings was becoming second nature and master puppeteers were being born.

The year 2157 was the hammer on the nail and what solidified Ingenium as a permanent secret society. Overseeing the terraformed mars, it was finally a 100% success and the final speech by senator Nguyen dedicating the cause to those who fell victim of the last.

Moving behind the scenes and keeping people in powerful places Ingenium for the next 800 years stood the test of time and continue as information brokers, mercenary protectors, and political puppeteers. Working almost as an entire government, but in the shadows Ingenium will protect the integrity of both nature and man.
