The Canine Confederacy(K9C) is an alliance of members seeking to remain independent, but still wanting the benefit of safety in numbers.

History

Why Do We Exist?

In the early stages of the forum when guilds were crawling into being there was JBOR (Just a bunch of rebels) that eventually formed into The Pack. Based on freedom of gameplay and having only one rule has already drawn hundreds.

The Canine Confederacy (K9C) is based on the same principles of freedom, but where The Pack allows for members to attack each other the K9C does not. While we support freedom to play we also desire a little more loyalty within our organization.

The Canine Confederacy is formed around the freedom loving and no hassle organization idea but with a very important difference. Members don’t attack each other. All professions are welcome, all gameplay types, and if you want to be a hardened criminal one life and a saint the next than by all means we are for you.

Manifesto

The Canine Confederacy believes in freedom of gameplay regardless of how you want to play the game. All professions are welcome, and we don’t care if you want to conquer systems, grow an expansive corporation, or go where no one’s gone before. We want to offer the security of having a group to call for help, but without the hassle of most guilds. Form teams on your own, or fly solo the choice is yours, just know that the K9C will never fire on its own.

We have no leaders – everyone is member
We have no dues or requirements – You want in? You’re in. You want out? Go in peace.
We have no orders – There is staff to facilitate things, but they don’t have command authority.

Charter

Articles of the Canine Confederacy (K9C)

Preamble

We the members of the Canine Confederacy (K9C), for the common goal of freedom of gameplay, willingly ally ourselves together in order to avoid all typical bounds of game guild society and yet retain the security of association. Notwithstanding our individual playing styles, our lawful and/or unlawful profits, nor our individual endeavors.

Rules

These rules, though few, are the backbone of the K9C, and are viewed as the basic principles of any organization. Failure to follow these rules will result in expulsion from the K9C.

1. Never attack another member

A. If members want to duel that is allowed provided both are willing participants.

2. Never break a deal with another member.

A. Pay what you agree to pay and make every good faith effort to do what you say you will. If you are unable to or fail to do what you agree to, don’t expect to be paid.

Suggestions

These suggestions are not enforced in any way, but they are recommendations to facilitate good community within the K9C.

1. Help each other out whenever you can. We aren’t asking you to risk your assets if you don’t want to, but if you can help other members in a pinch please do.

2. Try to offer job opportunities to other members before you put it out to the general public.

3. Avoid profanity or discussing sex, religion, or politics. We may not be at dinner but it’s still in poor taste.

Membership

Anyone may join, leave, and even come back after leaving. The only reason for denying an application is if someone leaves to break one of the rules then wants back in.

When you are accepted you receive rank 0 which is “New Member” until a staff member with necessary privileges makes you rank 3 “Member”.

Structure

Everyone is an equal member. There are staff positions to facilitate things and are filled on a volunteer basis, but it gives no authority other then to do the job of the position.
