KMS is an English speaking roleplay PMC organization. We simulate a military force dedicated to the protection of our colonies in space. One can think of “Kolonial Marine” as “Space Marines” … a force which is perhaps on the level of a “National Guard” or a “Militia”, but has the organization of a Naval Fleet and a “Marine Corps” at the same time.

The organizations initials “KMS” stand for “Kolonial Marine Service”. When used as a part of a capital ship’s name, it will stand for “Kolonial Marine Schiff” (Colonial Marine Ship).

The goal should be to have fun. I hope that this roleplay will make the game more interesting.

How to Join?

4. While waiting for approval Join us on our Discord so we can process your application, if you do not join us on Discord it will be very hard for us to process your application and keep a track of your service record.

Membership Requirements

1. Headset strongly recommended.
2. No Hotmicing.
3. Must not cause drama.
4. Affiliates are welcome, but some rank restrictions will apply.

KMS Code of Conduct

1. KMS simulates, in roleplay, a military force dedicated to the protection of our colonies in space.
2. We encourage brave, loyal, honest, nice, friendly folks to be a part of our guild.
3. We discourage the less than honest, pirates, and evil doers.
4. Members of our guild are expected to present themselves in a manner which the Kolonial Marine Service can be proud of.
5. Griefing others, KS’ing, and unsportsmanlike conduct is frowned upon.
6. KMS members will not behave in an “ungentlemanly” or “unladylike” fashion in regards to the treatment of prisoners.
7. Killing people who are in an escape pod after a battle will be considered as conduct unbecoming of a Kolonial Marine.
8. Any spies/traitors discovered in our midst will have a bounty placed upon their heads and will be banned from KMS in the future.
9. There is a 3-month probationary period whilst a background check is conducted.
10. In summary, KMS holds to old fashioned values of “duty, honour, country, fairplay/good sportsmanship, and being a good citizen”.

KMS Chain of Command guidelines

1. If you’re planning any training ops, normal ops, fps etc please communicate it clearly to all officers involved before you start inviting people to it to avoid confusion.
2. Military personnel give orders only to those directly below them in the chain of command and receive orders only from those directly above them.
3. Chain of command also implies that higher rank alone does not entitle a higher-ranking service member to give commands to anyone of lower rank. For example, an officer of unit “A” does not directly command lower-ranking members of unit “B”, and is generally expected to approach an officer of unit “B” if he requires action by members of that unit.
4. If an officer of unit “A” does give orders directly to a lower-ranked member of unit “B”, it would be considered highly unusual (a faux pas, or extraordinary circumstances, such as a lack of time or inability to confer with the officer in command of unit “B”) as officer “A” would be seen as subverting the authority of the officer of unit “B”. Depending on the situation or the standard procedure of the military organization, the lower-ranked member being ordered may choose to carry out the order anyway, or advise that it has to be cleared with his or her own chain of command first, which in this example would be with officer “B”. Refusal to carry out an order is almost always considered insubordination, the only exception usually allowed is if the order itself is illegal (i.e., the person carrying out the order would be committing an illegal act).
