History

As they were making their escape, one of the members, a smuggler named Ras, decided to try and lighten the mood by telling a joke. The joke was so perfectly timed and hilarious that everyone in the group burst out laughing, including their pursuers. The momentary distraction allowed “The Rogue Runners” to make their escape unscathed.
From that day on, “The Sassy Smugglers” were known as “The Meme Lords,” thanks to Ras’s perfect joke that diffused the tension in that moment. The name stuck, and they became known throughout the galaxy for their expert smuggling skills and their ability to bring humor and levity to even the most stressful situations.
