The Nighty Knight Union is a laid back, 18+, and LGBTQ+ friendly org who welcomes anyone who wants to join us in socializing while playing Star Citizen.

Be sure to review all our org info especially the charter and then join the —> Discord <—- before applying

History

Nighty Knight Union (NKU) is a union of anti-corporate individuals who banded together after being fed up with the worker subjugation imposed by the corporations let loose by an irresponsible UEE. If you wanna get one over on ArcCorp, Eckhart, MicroTech, or any of the Corporate overlords who keep their boot over Stanton’s throat, you may just fit right in. That doesn’t necessarily mean violence, however. And it also doesn’t mean you can’t work a job for them, money doesn’t come easy, and it’s important to recognize the conditions we live under.

We take their money, and succeed in spite of them. Boss makes a dollar, I make a dime, that’s why we steal drugs on company time.

WHO WE ARE

The NKU represents our Star Citizen spin off from our main community, the [K]night’s Lounge. We have been playing together for years and are a group of mature people who share the values of inclusion, respect, and are typically somewhere in the LGBTQ+ spectrum. In fact, almost all of our members fall under the rainbow flag. Our main goal when creating the NKU is to offer a safe, comfortable, and laid back space to have fun and socialize while playing Star Citizen. If that sounds cool to you, you’re probably gonna fit right in.

WHY JOIN?

With that out of the way, let’s discuss what we offer as an organization:

  • While our org’s literature is a little over the top, you do not need to role play at all. Our anarchist slant is purely a fun framing for our org’s rules. Don’t take it too seriously ;)
  • You do not need to be LGBTQ+ to join nor mention if you are, we just want to advertise a space that allows for people who are to have somewhere to hangout and play Star Citizen comfortably.
  • We are beginner friendly and will do what we can to help you get started.
  • We have a diverse fleet of ships for various gameplay loops to engage in. Salvage, mining, bounty hunting, you name it.
  • Feel free to choose a specialty you want to focus on. Or do all of them! Or none!
  • We do not require a time or org commitment. Feel free to join other orgs and play at your own pace. Again, the main goal of this org is to have fun and socialize with others. If you end, up joining and liking our vibe, feel free to stick around and play other games within the group as well! If you end up not enjoying your time, no worries, feel free to dropout anytime. No pressure :)
  • Our org mainly has US and CA players, but we do have a few EU ones as well. Our typical timezone is PST.

Our SC org currently is set up to be on the smaller size. We want to maintain a more tight-knit feel within the org, with the focus on being social with one another. This means:

  • We want YOUR suggestions for what to do in-game and value member inputs. We want everyone to have voice in what we do as an org
  • You won’t get the rigid authority structure with enforced roles like in larger orgs. If we manage to grow larger, this might have to change, but honestly we don’t see us getting THAT big. You’re either a member or you’re not, and we want to keep it simple like that.
  • We want to partake in various gameplay loops as well as shenanigans. Want to try stuffing Kopions in a cargo hold and releasing them into a bunker? Fuck it, let’s try it out.
  • We do not require any sort of uniforms. It helps to not wear stuff like Nine Tails armor to avoid friendly fire incidents if running bunkers, though!
  • There is no need to donate UEC to the org. We will work together to earn the things we need and help one another out.

If the NKU sounds appealing to you, drop by our —> Discord <—-! Please join it BEFORE you submit an application. Thank you!

We can answer any questions or concerns you may have. And if you plan to stick around, we’ll get you squared away. We hope to see you soon in the Union!

Manifesto

FIGHT THE SYSTEM, NOT THE PEOPLE

We stand against the irresponsible UEE, and the corporate goliaths that watch over us, and sell us back our rights with a price. The Messer era may have ended, but the oppression simply changed form. Now, most actions that give you a low crime stat simply cost money, if the penalty for a crime is a fine, then that law only exists for the lower class. They make us toil away in their mines if we can’t pay a simple fine. Space age slavery…

  • The only reason regeneration is free is that you can come right back, and keep earning them money.
  • A place like Loreville is a literal hellscape, where Hurston Dynamics forces their workers to fight against the windstorms rather than construct a closed hallway.
  • ArcCorp refuses to invest in worker safety. How many lives have been claimed by faulty elevators? How many people have been trapped in the hospitals when the elevators failed to arrive? Why are there no emergency stairs? Why are we forced to gamble our lives with these death traps?
  • microTech forces their workers to crunch out poor, buggy routing systems, causing ships to careen into the star of Stanton.
  • And who could forget what Crusader did to Port Olisar? Selling it for scrap and laying off the station staff just so R&R could move in with its cheap, modular stations.

We will lead civil rights activities for citizens, protest unjust actions by the corporations of Stanton, and ensure the liberties many fought for during the Messer era are not encroached on anymore.

We won’t rest until the ‘Verse is a fair place for everyone.

SOCIALIZE. ORGANIZE. UNIONIZE

SO WHAT DOES NKU DO IN STAR CITIZEN?

Bounty Hunting

Some crimes are forgivable, but some are not: Pirates attacking the independent merchant, terrorists killing innocent civilians, and dirty corporate enforcers unlawfully scanning you inside your hangar for a shakedown deserve to be hunted down.

Mercenary Work

Look, we need to sustain ourselves somehow, even if that means taking jobs for the corps. We don’t look down on those who do. Play the system, but be ready to stand up for your rights if they try to weasel their way out of a payment.

Industry Professions

In order to sustain our independence, we embark on various industrial professions, such as salvaging and mining. In the future, we plan to use the resources we gather to establish our own, independent compound free from the oppressive corps.

Cargo Hauling

A core profession of any star system. Moving goods is vital for the health of the people to make sure they get what they need.

Search and Rescue

We all need to look out for each other. Extend a helping hand to those in need of rescue, be it in space or on the ground. Or if you simply need a tow back to the station after your power plant sputtered out because nobody makes quality components anymore. We have your back.

And more!

The main goal is to have fun in the game. We like to mix our time playing the game and pushing the limits of what Star Citizen has to offer. If you have any other ideas or suggestions, feel free to bring them up!

WHAT WE DON’T DO

Piracy

We do not condone piracy against innocent, civilian vessels. They might be hauling for the corporations, but they are your fellow worker! Pirating pirates, however, is allowed!

High Crime

We are no strangers to Crime Stats, having had altercations with authorities in the past. However, this does not mean we condone activities like those done by criminal syndicates like Xenothreat and the Nine Tails. Having high Crime Stats (level 3 and up) makes it harder for org coordination if we have to worry about bounty hunters showing up. Try to keep yourself just within the law (or just don’t get caught). If you do happen to get CS, try to get it clear ASAP before partaking in group org activities.

Griefing

Not much needs to be said here. We’re here for a good time, but not at the expense of others.

Charter

We do not tolerate intolerance

If a rainbow flag sends shivers down your spine, this Union isn’t for cowards like you.

If the thought of pronouns gets your blood boiling, this Union isn’t for weirdos like you.

If you’re a fascist bootlicker, this Union isn’t for sheep like you.

We are a diverse group of people and being part of our organization means having to coexist with different people. Seriously, we just want to have fun.

Not sure how someone prefers to be called or identified? Feel free to ask! We won’t bite if you approach with an open mind.

FURTHER RULES:

  1. Be kind and respectful. Treat others the way you want to be treated.
  2. Do not harass or insult others. Again, no racism, bigotry, homophobia, etc.
  3. 18+ only due to topics discussed and memes posted
  4. Swearing is fine (we’re adults after all), but don’t go overboard. Slurs or derogatory comments will NEVER be tolerated
  5. No personal attacks against other members or players.
  6. Be helpful to other members as well as other players.
  7. No personal attacks against anyone, as well as incitation or implications of violence, harassment, or any form of negative action towards another person/party.
  8. Politics: See Below

Despite the political theming of this group, it’s not the main focus. The main focus is to vibe and hang out with like-minded people. However, we understand that our org is inherently political due to its acceptance of LGBTQ+ people and left-leaning ideas. We understand it is unavoidable for it come up. Please, keep political chatter to the correct channel. This way, others who don’t want that distraction can focus on the game instead. Be civil, be respectful, and ensure you remember the rules above when discussing political matters. Remember, we all want to have fun here :)

In short: Be civil, be kind, and have fun. Respect your fellow human

If someone happens to do or say something that violates these rules, the org leaders will investigate the issue. Members who are found violating the above rules will be immediately removed from the group and banned from joining back. All other issues will be voted on by other senior members to determine the best course of action.
