History
After having just gotten off a tour of duty with the UEE, Atlas turned to providing on-board ship security for merchants. On one such job, he found himself in a large winning-streak while playing an old Earth game called Magic: The Gathering. The stakes were high and eventually he won himself a Constellation Phoenix. Using his business knowledge from the schooling the UEE paid for, Atlas gathered up ex-squad mates from his military days, and began a small freelancing company, with his friends, appropriately entitled “Nakama Corporation.”
Manifesto
Who we are:
Nakama Corporation is the manifestation of comraderie. While I recognize the need to profit and conduct good business, one must understand the context of such pursuits.
Nakama corp. is the epitome of of “enabling,” consisting of a group of friends working together to allow one another to pursue those things in the ‘verse which makes them happy.
As CEO, I’m doubly lucky as I get to do what I love to do (earn money), which in turn allows my colleagues to do the same.
We may yet be a small group, but we have a passion to excell at our jobs, and woe unto thee that so foolishly or half-heartedly brings harm to our own. This is your first and final warning.

What we do:
Nakama Corporation has different divisions offering a full array of services to any potential customer.
Nakama Ventures will offer several services including:
Trade,
Freight running,
Mining,
Exploration, and
Item Delivery services
Space Warfare and Object Retrieval Division (SWORD) offers:
Convoy Protection,
Anti-Piracy operations,
Salvage,
Bounty Hunting, and
Search and Rescue
How we do it:
Nakama Corp. officials would like to assure future customers that we have a strict code of conduct, and rules of engagement.
Code of Conduct:
As an employee of Nakama Corporation, I promise not to violate the sanctity and sovereignty of the natural rights of sentient beings, including but not limited to the rights to privacy, property, and liberty. Those rights are waived by others when they engage in potentially-lethal criminal activity.
Rules of Engagement:

Employees will have varying levels of RoE they will adhere to depending on the divisions they work for, or the jobs they are doing. Nakama Corp. employees will refrain from firing on any vessel or entity until fired upon, or if violent intentions are announced or apparent.
SWORD Employees
SWORD Personal will adhere to standard Nakama Corporation ROE With these exceptions- SWORD personal are authorized to engage anyone with outstanding warrants for piracy on sight
- SWORD field officers may alter ROE if deemed necessary

To Be a Member
Nakama Corp. recruitment requirements are fluid, but undemanding, except for combat operations. We will gladly accept hardcore and casual gamer alike into the other various departments of Nakama Corporation. Combat operations applicants will be vetted by Ben_Richards and/or Atlas. Our current generic formula looks like:

Obviously there will be adjustments to that formula depending on the job type (bounty hunting for instance), or where a desired outcome (killed Vanduul) will allow for a bounty per kill payment structure.
Payment scales are currently in flux, at least until we have a more solid understanding of how quest payment and job payment systems will be structured.
