The earliest known reference to Obculo dates back to 2945, when a high-profile resource extraction contract in a contested sector was completed without any formal military or corporate involvement. All signs pointed to a third party—unidentified and untraceable. Since then, similar operations have occurred across the galaxy, each marked by the same precision, secrecy, and lack of accountability.
Speculation about the true nature of Obculo has been rampant. Some believe that the organization was established by a rogue faction within the UEE military, using its access to covert technologies and black ops resources. Others argue that it might be the creation of a secretive corporate conglomerate, designed to manipulate the resource markets and secure untapped wealth in the far reaches of space.
