Long Live the Outlands
The roots of the Kingdom of the Outlands (KO) takes place when Deacon Messer was anointed Imperator. After the death of his father he needed to show that he was the new Imperator and that he should be respected as a great leader like his father. The KO was group of soldiers who were perceived as great, they were considered the black ops for Deacon Messer. They were called Outlanders and they structured themselves as a feudal system with king taking charge and lords as his officers. Deacon Messer treated the Outlanders with respect and took the spot of the first king. When Deacon Messer passed the throne too his Livia Messer she sought to distance her self from the respected image of the outlanders. she used the outlanders to commit massacre and to silence free speech. The Outlanders hated this. They broke away with a fleet and began their mission of defending people from the Messer regime. They often lived on the frontier, or what they called it, the outlands, floating in their ships. The new kingdom helped people with a honor code and became a symbol of hope for many. The kingdom became more of an idea than a group. The structure began to dissolve but the idea of helping the outlands was still there. When the Messer Regime ended the Outland Enforcers (OE) was founded. These were warriors who wanted to preserve the culture of helping and defending but believe that everything has its cost.
We are the messengers of the kingdom.
