OPABO: A Belter Legacy in the UEE
Foundation and Ideology
We in the Outer Planets Alliance Black Operations (OPABO) are bound by the spirit of the original Belter struggle. Our origins trace back to the Outer Planets Alliance (OPA) from Earth’s ancient Sol system, where Belters first fought for autonomy and rights against the power of Earth and Mars. As humanity’s reach spread into new star systems, so did the Belter legacy. We, the descendants of those resilient Belters, carry our ancestors’ struggle forward into systems like Stanton, Nyx, and beyond. United by a shared belief in autonomy, we resist the ever-growing influence of the UEE and the megaorgs who seek to control us.
Expansion into the Stanton System and Beyond
When the UEE began seizing new systems, many of us saw echoes of Earth’s past oppression. So we came together, creating OPABO as a decentralized, covert organization dedicated to Belter independence and survival. We operate in the margins, keeping alive the Belter spirit of resilience and defiance. Across Stanton, Elysium, and countless fringe systems, we maintain a hidden network of operatives, friends, and allies. Like the Belters of old, we survive on the edges, using black-market networks and honing our skills to stay out of reach of those who would subjugate us.
Adapting to New Systems and Tactics
OPABO lives on through the covert tactics we’ve inherited from generations past. We don’t confront the UEE directly; instead, we deploy Black Ops teams and use stealth. Just as the Belters did with their mining rigs, we’ve modified our ships for stealth, adaptability, and survival. We work as mercenaries, traders, and privateers, often called upon to “handle” problems for those who align with our vision. We remain invisible, keeping the Alliance’s hand out of sight, engaging only when we must.
