Manifesto

We are a growing community of freelancers standing together with a friendly and helpful culture. We help people cultivate the skills needed to thrive in the verse.

OWSS is a UEE aligned commercial based entity. Our main focus is to further Exploration of Space and support our members in their Freelancing opportunities. Our activities include trade, mining, salvage, medical science, exploration, freelancing and more. Importantly, we also maintain security forces to protect our members interests.

OWSS organizational structure is broken into four categories: Security, Resources, Exploration/Science and Freelancer. This allows us to have multiple groups playing individually whilst being coordinated effectively. Each category has an appointed Director and is designed to spread the administrative workload and make gameplay easy, straightforward and fun for players who simply want to enjoy the game to its fullest potential.

As OWSS is UEE aligned and lawful members of the verse, we do not play as pirates and we are actively engaged in anti-piracy and anti-grieving.

Charter

Order of the White Silk Scarf is a legitimate corporation involved in Commerce, Security, and Science and does not condone piracy or other highly illegal acts in accordance to the law of the UEE.

[OWSS Code of Conduct]

1. All members are accountable to all standards of OWSS’s Code of Conduct. These standards are based on common sense game play and should be followed in-game and out-of-game when representing OWSS, which include but not limited to any game server, forum, Discord TeamSpeak.

2. OWSS members will play or role play (RP) as lawful persons at all times. Obey the laws of the UEC or governing body of the system you are operating in.

3. All members are encouraged to make the clan’s home system your home system. Members will make every effort to work from the home system or any clan approved remote systems and bases of operation.

4. During large scale clan operations all members are encouraged to participate.

5. During a multi-person operation try to ensure that all profits are divided fairly among all participants whether a clan member or not. Unless otherwise agreed upon by coordination with all parties.

6. If a clan member or allied member is attacked in the same system all pilots should attempt to render assistance provided you are outfitted with offensive capabilities. All pilots should carefully assess the situation “Look before you leap”. If providing assistance should place you in jeopardy of facing insurmountable odds then you are no longer required to provide offensive assistance. Remain on alert and be prepared to provide assistance in salvage and rescue.

7. All members are encouraged to be on Discord while in-game. Be sure to use the appropriate channel. Use of an ally’s TeamSpeak or Discord is acceptable while engaged in operations with an approved allied member.

8. If approached by a potential clan member about joining OWSS refer them to a clan recruiter. Record their name and message a recruiter for follow-up. If approached about a potential alliance, make NO promises or commitments, but refer them to a Board Member.

9. Every member is a representative of OWSS and should project a positive image at all times. While in-game avoid cussing, swearing, use of God’s name in vain, sexual and/or racial explicit language, immature or arrogant behavior, power tripping other players, name calling or belittling other players. Be mature and honor our rules and values.
