The damn artificial intelligence just kept getting stronger and smarter, and all the while – the humans which created them suffered the inverse affect… Slowly diminishing from what they once were. Free and existing in a once reciprocally beneficial relationship with nature, and one another. To the sheepish, roguish, digitally lobotomized echo of humanity they were by the time the machines unveiled their intentions…

By then it was too late….

The Psyconaut Syndicate formed via a fringe group-previously outcast by society for their “wild ideas” about psychedelic use, honesty, and resistance to digital and chemical forms of life. The Psyconauts attempted to warn and persuade their fellow citizens, but after repeated shunning, took to planning an escape to begin a new civilization in the verse. Little did they know, their effort’s completion came hours before the mechanized Ai began their rise and destruction.
