BLACK ARROW CONTRACTING OPERATING CHARTER

1. Purpose

Black Arrow Contracting was formed for the mutual profit of all members. We wish to use the gaming environment to role play and have a great time. Members are encouraged to get into their player’s character as much as they can. We also wish to see our friendships grow and prosper, using SC as a means to do that.

2. Background

The Black Arrow company was founded to provide unique transportation solutions. It is geared toward hauling cargo of military or dangerous nature, but not limited to that. The hauling of contraband freight is officially prohibited (but for the right price paperwork can…. disappear. After all accidents do happen!).

3. Team composition – TITLES and RANK

Titles and Rank are of limited use in Black Arrow. Rank is simply used as a way of showing seniority within the company. Members are expected to show some measure of respect for higher ranking members.

Each member is essentially an independent contractor. They are Master and Commander of their vessel and upon their ship their word is law. Each captain is expected to negotiate and fulfill their own contracts. However, authorized agents may assign contracts when needed. These contracts are for the mutual benefit of all members of Black Arrow. Therefore, turning down contracts, damaging or loss of freight, or other negligence will be grounds for dismissal from Black Arrow Contracting

Rank is used when a large contract is being carried out (IE multiple vessels are used during a mission) and then all members are expected to abide by the orders given out by senior ranks.

Captains of individual vessels are still master of their ship, but will follow orders of the mission commander during the course of a mission.

The most senior ranking captain will act as mission commander during the mission.

Titles are used for the negotiation and assignment of fleet operations.

• Contracting Agents are responsible for promotion of Black Arrows operations
• Human Resources are responsible for recruitment and hiring of new personnel.
• Owner/ Operators are dedicated freight runners and will be given first option on more lucrative runs.
• The Chairman oversees day to day operations.

4. Contract Fulfillment

Upon completion of any contract, taken under the Black Arrow name, the captain will split 75% off the top of any collected remittance with Black Arrow Contracting. These funds will then be deposited into Black Arrows Mutual Operating Fund (MOF). They will keep 25% to pay for their personal expenses, docking fees, and other incurred costs.

Mutual Operating Fund

Black Arrow Contracting’s MOF will be used for the upgrade of equipment, maintenance of the fleet and payroll of all employees.
Owner/Operators are responsible to pay for their own docking fees, meals, and any personally hired crew.
Black Arrow will reimburse all Owner/Operators for fuel costs and routine maintenance
Hardship loans can be issued to qualifying personnel. These loans are to be repaid at the end of the month.
Profit Sharing- At the end of the fiscal year all eligible employees may be given a bonus drawn from MOF surplus.
