It’s a wide, open galaxy out there, and there is much wealth to be had. Free Trade Syndicate is a group of like minded individuals who understand, much like the Banu, that everything has a price… we just find out what that is, and where to deliver it to, regardless of customs and local laws.
History
The Syndicate has its root before the UEE discovered the other alien races. From large, sprawling, metropolitan cities, to small rural farmlands, the Syndicate was there. Optimizing trade, cutting unnecessary costs such as labor wages, brokering deals, this is where the first members of the Syndicate met. Instead of rivalry and greed, the founding members met with admiration and respect, and a wonderful plan…
Contracts were signed and companies rose to the pinnacle of corporate power. The Syndicate brokered deals with Government officials, military personnel, and crime lords alike. Each deal building more wealth and influence in society. Soon, there was nothing more the world could offer, the ceiling had been reached… until man took to the stars.
The thrill of new resources and new territory was so enticing, the Syndicate never would have imagined something greater would come along, and it did. Humans made contact with alien races, and among them, they met the Banu. If ever the spirit of the Syndicate could embody an entire race, it was the Banu. Their understanding of trade and making a profit no matter what was right on par, and the Syndicate met the Banu with the same respect and admiration that the first members had.
With new alliances forged, and a whole galaxy to exploit, the Syndicate has been planning and taking steps to reach the new pinnacle of influence and power.
Manifesto
From the sweat of a man, he can earn a credit. In turn, that credit is divided and spent to businesses. Those businesses are then taxed and redistributed. Which of these do we make our money from? All of them. We have our fingers in all of the pies, our hands in every pocket. Through acquisition, some legal, some not, and trade, we gain power and influence that transcends politics, reaches beyond borders. We are the ones who make money from others’ work.
The Syndicate makes the elite.
Charter
The first and foremost intent is to turn a profit. They Syndicate is out to make money, and it will, one way or another. Striking a more competetive deal, or securing a rival’s trade route is all permitted, but underhanded conduct that causes a loss of money negatively affects not only that individual, the the Syndicate as a whole, and will not be tolerated. We rise together, share connections, and ensure the others succeed as well. Other than that, you are free to earn a profit any way you see fit.
