Red Bison Recovery / REDBISON

Long and far from here, under the warmth of the first star, we lived in small bands. Bound, by a red bond of honor, painted on the sides of our dwellings in the very blood of the beasts who gave their lives to create them. As we wandered farther from our origins and our beliefs were beaten and dragged from the dying grasp of our culture, some few silhouettes could always be found stenciled in crimson on the sides of various vehicles and ships. Those who made the symbol, and valued it, did not always understand what it stood for. Over the centuries, a number of subcultures adopted it, fought over it or were absorbed by it. The animal in the glyph is named as a “bison”, but the shape does not quite match that species from Earth. No one can say now, what true-origin “really” means. That particular “truth” may be hidden from us.

What we can see, however, is what is right in front of us.

That is if we bother to notice; if we bother to look.

So, be bothered… look!… notice!… help!…
