History

—[ Foundation ]—

Originally founded in 2947 by notorious cult leader Tobian Wrex, RGMC began life as a ‘Separatist Coalition’ centred around the belief that the Null-Sec Pyro system harboured a hidden paradise for any soul brave enough to make the journey. Departing for Pyro just one year later, the members of the coalition were loaded into a transport convoy and shipped off in search of their promised haven.
Of course, there was no hidden paradise in the Pyro system, and the cultists were instead being sent to a compound on Pyro III to be used as a captive labour force. However, the coalition’s convoy was set upon by pirates while en route to its destination and during the fight, Tobian Wrex and the rest of the cult’s higher-ups bravely abandoned the civilians and escaped with the convoy’s supplies.

Broken and stranded in lawless space, the few survivors of the attack were forced to adapt to life outside the UEE. Resorting to a nomadic lifestyle, the survivors began searching for a way to return home safely, and with no other options, the cult’s remnants were forced to work with the various outlaw gangs in control of the Pyro system.

Years passed, and as members succumbed to the dangers of Pyro and our numbers dwindled, the abilities of the survivors grew. With time, those who survived the journey became accustomed to the dangers of the mercenary lifestyle; with these new skills, the veterans of a doomed cult fought their way through contract after contract and secured a means of escape back to civilised space.

Recognising their newfound aptitude for mercenary work, the veterans chose to remain together rather than return to their old lives, reforming the loose band of drifters into the Red Glint Mercenary Company, deriving their name from the ‘distant red glint of paradise’ they were promised so long ago.
Reforged under the heat of Pyro’s dying star, Red Glint Mercenary Company returned to Stanton, tempered by the hostile and unforgiving nature of their “paradise”.
