Origins

A long history beginning before the formation of the UEE, SCENEO Faction stems from its roots in the Scene of Action Project, founded by Monty Montego a 21st-century artist and musician. His music project, Scene of Action, began as a resistance to the unethical practices of large corporations taking advantage of individual artists and creators in the name of financial gain. What was so unique about his approach was his ability to use his technical knowledge to single-handedly present a professional multi-camera broadcast to an international audience around the globe live, without the need of a third party parent organization. This would not have been possible without the platform built by the Amazon-owned Twitch.tv, but Montego was able to capitalize on the opportunity that these creators had provided and partner with them to bring new content to the marketplace. It was a happy marriage.

Official Resistance

What began as an effort connecting music lovers and artists without the abuse from international conglomerates morphed into an all-out radical faction of the populace 2 centuries later when industrial corporations began to explicitly take advantage of individuals due to their unbalanced leverage on a resource-scarce earth. Montego’s great-great-grandson, William “Billy Goat” Montego found no choice but to resist these unfair practices.

Humble Beginnings

Billy decided to use his consumer class transport to offer delivery, escort, and security of high-level goods directly to customers. He acquired new clients by developing relationships with the descendants of his great-great-grandfather’s original Twitch community. Thus, SCENEO Faction was born. The operation was illegal without the obtaining of a corporate operators license (because of shady government lobbying) so therefore was extremely risky and the business had to be built underground, not dissimilar to the original Montego’s grassroots growth. But Billy’s lightning wit and keen eye for risk saw his single-ship operation quickly balloon to over 25 highly-qualified pilots drawn to the idea of operating within highly reputable and ethical business practices, a contrarian idea at the time.

Incorporation

SCENEO continued to grow but operated underground (yet known by everyone with dealings in high-level transport) for the remaining years until the founding of the UEE and consequential incentive to incorporate and join the cause of protecting and growing the UEE after the first Tevarin War.

Now known for it’s high level of service, exemplary success rate, and all-around ethical principles, SCENEO is the preeminent corporation in a universe full of unreliable operators at best, and consciously evil pirates at worst.
