The SGARnD (*S*cientific *G*rant for *A*erospace *R*esearch a*N*d *D*evelopment) Foundation is responsible for collecting submissions of novel concepts, testing the concepts, and evaluating said concepts for their merit.
The foundation awards grants for science deemed especially significant.
The SGARnD Foundation was established in 2952 by it’s committee chief SGAR and committee member Ratyhorsman with the intent to reward scientific exploration and innovation. The foundation is responsible for collecting submissions of novel concepts, testing the concepts, and evaluating said concepts for their merit. All submissions are processed by the Foundation’s committee and judged to determine if a grant will be given.
Grants and evaluation criteria may differ from time to time based on current need. Evaluations are completed in batches with only the most highly evaluated submissions being considered for a grant.
Late in 2952 The foundation began it’s community outreach program in the hopes of broadening it’s scientific catalog. This outreach began at popular Citizen hangout “The Parlee House” with attempts to integrate the grant with the already popular “for science” mindset.
