Welcome to Port Somewhere, a place where you can find all sorts of goods, services, and information. Remember the three rules: Slavers get spaced; No blasters; No bounty hunting on premises. Enjoy your stay and turn a profit!
Tired of the stifling regulations and crippling taxes of “Civilized” space, and living by the credo “You can’t take the sky from me” a husband and wife team set out to create Port Somewhere. Envisioned as a flying space station Port Somewhere will be a place where pilots, traders, and free spirits can set down without the questions, regulations, or taxes of the UEE.
Port Somewhere will offer a safe haven for all, as well as services including: information brokerage, a wide variety of goods, repairs, re-fueling, and a place to trade any cargo without having to worry about pesky regulations.
Who’s asking?
The rules of Port Somewhere are pretty simple and straight forward.
1. Slavers will be spaced.
Port Somewhere will not tolerate slave trading. It is a despicable practice that denies the basic rights of any sapient: Life, Liberty and Property. Any slavers caught in Port Somewhere will be spaced immediately and their prisoners freed and given compensation from the slave trader’s possessions.
2. No “Blasters”.
Port Somewhere will not tolerate excessive violence. Excessive violence is defined as “Violence that causes damage to the premises, or serious bodily harm or death to a staff member or patron.” Violators will face various degrees of punishment. These range from: fines to cover damage and/or medical expenses for minor injuries or damage to the premises, up to spacing and total forfeiture of all possessions on Port Somewhere in the case of murder.
3. No bounty hunting.
Port Somewhere can only operate as a Free Port where patrons from all walks of life and professions can mingle and fulfill their desires, if they can do it in peace. Towards this end, and pursuant to Rule #2, no captures or active bounty hunting will be allowed aboard Port Somewhere or within 50km of Port Somewhere.
