History

HISTORY The origins of the TCE come from the Kilian Osha, a planet located on the outskirts of the inhabitable area of the massive Kilian system. While far from conflict by distance, the Kilian system was greatly effected by the Vanduul conflict in the Davien system. The Vanduul made brief appearances in the Kilian system via the Kilian – Davien jump point. Because the Vanduul had access to a jump point to another system, they often committed piracy in the Kilian trade routes in order to restock supplies during the Davien conflict. Due to their ease of travel, however, it could not be legally determined that it was the vanduul committing the piracy because of the indistinguishable proceedings of common piracy. Because of this there could be no action of the UEE in persecuting a certain group in trade routes, and the system became extremely unsafe. The Founders ventured outwards in their system, seeking to flee. They bid their home farewell through the Kilian – Ellis, and then immediately through the Ellis – Magnus jump point. From there it was Magnus – Stanton and then finally Stanton – Terra, where the founders settled. Bewildered that people could be driven from their homes so suddenly and with such little defense, the founders created Terra Security Enterprises. The goal of this organization was to fight threats to the community and system so that no one would have to abandon their home world because of Vanduul pirates. This proved to be violent, and was driven by anger and really only amounted to an oppressive militia at best. The founders then renamed the organization, Terra Charting Enterprise, and took on a new approach to safety and protection. The TCE is still founded upon the belief that the Universe should be a safe place for everyone, and still provides military protection in the Terra system. But beyond that, the TCE explores unknown and long forgotten systems and charts them and collaborates with other organizations and entities to try to accelerate the spread of information, and try to connect people with the resources and people they need to be safe and successful. To suit this, the TCE now specializes in a very broad set of services including:
  • Exploration
  • Scouting
  • Data collecting and informational reconnaissance
  • Freelance tasks
  • Transportation of goods and cargo
  • Security Escorts
  • Consultation for route planning and security information

Since the TCE believes deeply in collaboration and cooperation, we communicate a great deal with other organizations to provide anything that we cannot, ensuring that you are as safe as possible. The TCE will help refer you to or recommend an organization that can help you with anything that we can’t. Since you will always communicate with a real member of the TCE, we can always process any request.
