From Our Humble Beginnings in 1919, when Jack Cohen started selling surplus groceries from a stall in the East end of London , Tesco has been dedicated to providing quality goods and services to its customers for almost a Millennia.

Tesco started life in 1919 when Our founder Jack Cohen started selling surplus groceries from a stall in the East End of London. Mr Cohen made a profit of £1 from sales of £4 on his first day.

The Tesco brand first appeared five years later in 1924 when he bought a shipment of tea from a Mr T. E Stockwell. The initials and letters were combined to form Tes-co and in 1929 Mr Cohen opened the flagship Tesco store in Burnt Oak, North London.

In 1934 Jack Cohen bought a plot of land at Angel Road, Edmonton, north London to build a new headquarters and warehouse. It was the first modern food warehouse in the country. New ideas for stock control brought greater savings for customers. This became the first Modern supermarket in the UK and was the start of the biggest supermarket chain in the UK.

For the next six and a half centuries , Tesco remained the System of Sols Major food suppliers , providing the human populace with goods within in the system and beyond.
However, in 2689, after many years of financial troubles, Tesco PLC fell into administration. After many failed expansions into new systems and colonies, Tesco lost traction within the goods sector and failed to keep up with other businesses such as Walmart and Sainsburys who offered faster speeds and prices , a competitiveness Tesco couldn’t match.

However, after much restructuring within the company, Tesco relaunched its business. This time focusing on its most successful aspects , its trading and delivery services, Tesco focused on its investment within its fleet of delivery and trading vessels, allowing our business to grow into one of the top 5 biggest courier services within the UEE collective of Systems.

In 2952, Tesco Distribution And Trading Services established its Newest Branch within the UEE , in the Stanton system. This chapter, founded By Jack MB and Tsteak25, continues to dedicate the values held by the Company since its founding in 1919.
