History
Nobody really knows when The Freelancers Alliance Syndicate was formed. It is believed to have been founded around 2948 SET, although this has not been confirmed. It is rumored that TFAS was created by the resulting fallout of another organization, but no facts can be found to support this theory. Only one thing can be agreed upon about TFAS. They are known to take any job for the right price, and are known to also take the most dangerous of jobs. Yet, no one has even the slightest idea how contracts are made with them. Their activities are shrouded in such obscurity that you only hear whispers and rumors of their exploits. TFAS members have allegedly been observed pulling mining jobs and hauling cargo, although this is speculated to be more related to internal logistical operations rather than contracted work.
The internal operations of TFAS are seemingly held in complete obscurity as no one knows how their hierarchy functions, or if they even have a rank-and-file structure. The name TFAS is spoken of with fear and awe, as no one really knows what their true goals are. One rumor that seems to be consistent is that they don’t have enemies for very long, as they seem to mysteriously disappear. There is even speculation that they took down another organization internally which also led to their rise in power, although everyone associated with that particular organization cannot be found for comment or confirmation. During the 9ine Tails uprising of 2952 in the Stanton system, suspected TFAS members have been reportedly seen pulling heavy operations. However, no one can really confirm who they were working for at that time.
It would seem that the TFAS organization has strong ties to the criminal underworld, yet even the outlaws deny any knowledge of them when asked. According to Advocacy Director Thomas Carmody, the rumors of the TFAS organization has been brought to his attention and they have been actively searching for any information regarding them. However, they have been unsuccessful in getting an Agent to infiltrate them, and their intelligence department have been unable to gather any evidence after 3 years of investigations. Director Thomas Carmody has made an official statement requesting any information that could potentially confirm their existence. To this day they have not been able to get a single piece of intelligence about them anywhere.
Manifesto
Should The Freelancers Alliance Syndicate actually exist as an Organization within the UEE, only those who are within their ranks would know how they operate. Both internally and externally. No known rank structure exist on any intelligence reports, assuming there has even been any intelligence to file. If this Organization does exist, they know how to cover their tracks so well that no evidence of their existence is even left behind. Everything about them is myth, rumor, speculation, hyperbole, and heresy. Their goals and motives are even unknown, assuming they even have any to begin with. Even the Advocacy are left scratching their heads wondering about this Organization. The fact that no one has came forward yet regarding any information about them leaves Advocacy Agents wondering if they are highly feared, or if they are just that good at what they do. If the organization does exist, the one thing that can be agreed upon is that they value secrecy and denial above all else.
Charter
With the TFAS organization shrouded in as much secrecy as they are, there is no information regarding an organizational charter. Neither is there any information regarding any ROE (Rules of Engagement) procedures. Anything regarding their internal structuring or hierarchy is only rumors and hearsay. Even their recruitment methods are a mystery, since no one seems to know how to even get a hold of them.
Any efforts on intel gathering have come up empty, and no one is giving the Advocacy any information regarding their operations either because no one actually knows anything about them, or they are just too scared to even say something if they do know anything. This particular organization seems to have really pushed the Advocacy both mentally and physically. So much so, in fact, that it is not uncommon for an Advocacy Agent to resign due to psychological reasons or disappear under mysterious circumstances that somehow or other always seem to be caused by some form of natural phenomena or illness.
As much as the Advocacy wants to believe that everyone is just blindly scared of speaking against them, there has been zero evidence to even support this theory. Some believe that they avoid any collateral damage at all costs, which may in turn also explain the lack of evidence to even suggest they exist in the first place. It is also theorized that, should they exist, they recruit members by gauging the actions of the potentials in the field, or even finding certain individuals with certain backgrounds that could possibly be of use to them somehow. However, even investigating these theories have come up empty.
