The Order of the Path / THEPATH

We are jump point guardians. Our first priority is to protect the ability to travel through the universe. Second is to collect all jump point information; to keep and maintain the largest most accurate maps in the verse.

We are a very private organization. We go to great lengths to hide our numbers. Our numbers are vast. Do not be fooled by any reports you may find. We have taken steps to change and delete records. We have teams of people in cells assigned to each jump point. They are all working hard every day for the cause.

We infiltrate other groups, organizations, and governments. Guardians do not advertise that they are part of the order. This is by design. We want eyes and ears everywhere. Never make us your primary organization. We will know that in your heart we are first.

There are organizations that would like to see the jump points destroyed. These are mostly xenophobic individuals or groups. Also there are movements that believe that if we destroy jump points we can protect Earth, and other systems, from the Vanduul. We combat them in secret behind the scenes.

Our tenets come before all other orders, laws, or governments.

We are the keepers of the verses most thorough and up to date galactic maps. Our upper echelon have more access to jump point locations and destinations than any other group, organization, or government. These are secrets we protect as needed. We are relentless in the pursuit of new information about jump points.

One of our most safe guarded secrets is the knowledge of how to destroy a jump point. Great effort has been made to erase all knowledge and recordings of the previous events where jump points have been destroyed in the effort to stop all further jump point destruction.

Roles
Each member has one or multiple roles that define his or her responsibilities.

Team Leader
Leaders of a team of guardians to enforce our tenants and fulfill what ever missions requirements may be necessary. One mission may be to escort and protect pioneers.

Pioneer
Discovers and charts new jump points and systems.

Agent
Lone operator fulfilling one of many task; espionage, assassination, analyst, and investigation.

Historian
Collects records all information about our history and the history of jump points.

Cartographer
Puts the organization’s map info together. Decides which portions of the map should be accessible to what ranks.
