History

This Group was built around a single vision. A vision of space free from all forms of government and rules that bind you in chains.

The year is 2816 and this is where our story begins…

It starts with a small group of traders just trying to make a living, travelling through UEE controlled space in their humble cargo ship and not another soul within scanning range. Then out from behind a group of asteroids peeked the tip of a Vanduul Fighter. It was only one at first but soon many more emerged to rain fire apon the unsuspecting crew. Their slow moving vessel was no match for the speed and agility of the Vanduul Scythe; but something was wrong. They were targeting the thrusters not the engines like normal Vanduul fashion. They were going to board the traders, but what they saw was worse than a squad of Vanduul. When the airlock opened a dozen UEE soldiers swarmed into the ship wielding Vanduul weapons murdering crew and taking anything valuable they could grab. They made sure that all crew members had been killed but one survived. Sometime later a salvage team came to check for survivers and determine the cause of the incident.

Safely back on Earth’s soil the sole survivor attempted to seek justice for the crimes of the UEE but none would listen. Instead he was told to never talk of the incident with the “Vanduul” again or a bounty would be put on him so high he would never allowed to step foot in civilized space. They also created new laws on the amount of power that the UEE has over its citizens to keep people “safe”. The rest of the galaxy was blind to what was happening but he knew the truth; he knew that they were manipulating peoples fear to gain more power and they were willing to sacrifice innocent people in order to achieve this.

This is why the UCOI was created. It was created to break free from the tyrannous grip of the UEE and go back to a time when the stars were free and controlled by no man. We are not citizens of the UEE but citizens of the stars.

Manifesto

Our goals as a community

  • To transport and own anything that we want
  • To become a wealthy and successful community
  • To create a Unified Community that spans the length of the cosmos so that it may be forever at peace
  • To explore the great mysteries of space

Our Affiliations

  • Blue Horizons Exploration – They will be our primary partners in the exploration division.
  • Cognition Corp. – They will be our primary contact in the resource division as well as a place to discover new contacts.
  • Geodynamic Empiricism Operations – They will be our primary Partner in our Science Division, where all our discoveries can be analysed.
  • Market Hub/Price Check – This will be our primary resource for the market value of goods in the ‘verse as well as a place to pick up temporary contracts.
  • Operation Pitchfork – The community has joined Operation Pitchfork so be ready. Participation is optional but recommended.
  • Fortitude Corp. – They will be our primary contacts for the selling or usage of any mineral rich planets, or asteroid fields we discover.

Charter

  1. Any who appose us, are our enemy. The citizens of the UEE are not our enemy but are blind followers and should be saved as soon as possible.
  1. Do not commit any crime against another brother of the community. If we cannot trust each other than we are no better than those we seek to destroy.

Other than these 2 rules you are free to do what you want in the ‘verse.

Ranking System

Due to orgs not being fleshed out fully everyone’s rank will be set to Prime Guardian. On further persistence release ranks will be reassigned as follows.

Initiate – All new recruits start here. No perks or resources.
Brother – The standard rank. Once an initiate has completed initiation or 1 mission (TBD) they will be given this rank. This rank gives all the perks and resources of a full member.
Guardian – Once members have been with us long enough and gained our trust they will be given the rank of Guardian. This rank entitles more perks, resources, and trust than the standard member. They truly are the Guardians of freedom.
Prime Guardian – With more trust and time you may one day become a Prime Guardian. These are the most elite of our members and is the highest achievable rank. This entitles full access to all the communities perks and assets.
Elder Council Member – At a given point in time, a select number of Prime Guardians can be voted in to the Elder Council to help control resources and manage the org. Note that no decisions that affect the community will be made solely by the council and will be open to a org wide vote. As well, Elder Council members do not receive any extra perks above Prime Guardian.

All ranks are to be determined but this should give you a general idea of the structure of this community.
