History

Founded in the year 2946 by Edward Teach (commonly referred to as Black Beard), but unofficially founded in the year 2931 following the events of the robbery carried out by 12-year-old Dean Kellar. Admiral Teach’s vision for the United People’s Exploration Front was to start a new civilization founded on the ideas of total peace – a utopian society – where members of the UPEF fight for the rights and survival of all beings.

Teach would not start this civilization alone. He traveled from system to system in search of companions. Many thought the idea of a utopian society was far fetched, unrealistic, and unprofitable, except for two brave and willing men known as James T. Kirk and Reginald Amadeus Whitaker. While skeptical at first of Teach’s vision, his ideas and principles coincided with the beliefs of Kirk and Whitaker.

Before being approached by the Admiral, Kirk was a Navy Captain for UEE and completed several different types of operations across multiple star systems. Kirk was best known for his hard head and complete disregard for Navy operations, which later lead to his dishonorable discharge from service. He later turned to smuggling precious alien cargo from system to system in a salvaged Aurora LN Cargo ship.

Teach and Kirk agreed that they required academic and historical assistance to achieve their vision for this civilization, which led them to seek out the Horologion Library. All the great minds there knew too well the previous failures of man and the attempts at utopia. However, one man knew better than the others what persistence and dedication can accomplish. One chancellor and disciple of truth named Reginald A. Whitaker agreed to accompany them on their journey towards a better life.

This powerful trio spent 10 years restoring an abandoned Constellation Andromeda named Octavia. This was only possible due to Teach’s handiness with ships, Kirk’s experience with smuggling goods across star systems, and Whitaker’s knowledge on where to find the needed parts to get Octavia up and running.

ABOUT UPEF

Mission

  • To explore new worlds
  • To peacefully secure new lands for Humanity as a whole
  • To protect Humanity and all humans throughout the cosmos.

As a member of the UPEF you will be charged with helping us explore new worlds and securing those worlds for the betterment of Humanity. You will be trained in the fields of science, combat, and anything in between. When accepted into the UPEF you will be interviewed and placed in a role based on your own interest and what the UPEF believes you will be promising in.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. At no point or time shall any member of the UPEF allow racism, sexism, or intolerance of any kind.

2. Respect the chain of command. You are asked to take orders from those ranked above you, unless doing so endangers yourself or your fellow men and women wrongfully. This is left up to the judgment of the individual.

3. You are free to leave the UPEF at any point in time without consequence. This will be handled on a case by case basis and you must notify a senior officer of your departure at least 24 hours before hand.

4. At no point are you allowed to engage peaceful, non-UPEF peoples in combat for personal gain. Piracy is strictly prohibited and may result in discharge from the UPEF.

5. If any member feels that they are being treated wrongly by another member you are advised to contact a senior officer at once notifying them of the situation in detail.

6. Promotions are based on merit and accomplishment and will be carried out after consulting the senior officers only.
