About Walker’s Transport and Acquisition

This corporation was founded by myself (Astridash) and my brother with the idea in mind that trading, smuggling, and mining could all be very lucrative endeavours. We realised that if we really wanted to succeed we needed to be self sufficient, and so Walker’s Transport and Acquisition was born.

This corporation was founded on the ideal that by working together we could far exceed whatever we could achieve alone and so we invite you citizen to join us on our journey to corporate success. While initially starting from humble roots as a small trading and smuggling organisation we hope to expand and grow into other areas of expertise within the verse. To do this we need your help.

It is our plan that Walker’s Transport grows into a corporation that is exceptional at whatever it’s members plan to do while making sure to support them along the way. We are excited to get our business under way and rake in those UEC.

We need escorts, traders, smugglers, and miners alike. Trading and mining is what we’ll be doing at first, and will be the main focus of the corporation at first, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do what you want. The only activity we don’t condone is violent crime. Other than that, you do you. We’re just happy to have you along for the ride.

Manifesto

Walker’s Transport and Acquisition is a primarily haulage and mining focused corporation that aims to provide a safe community for any Star Citizens who are interested in working for a profit whether through legal or illegal channels.

We are an Australian based group accepting citizens from any location. As long as you’re in it for the pay day and are willing to positively contribute we’ll have you. Light role-playing is encouraged but not expected.

Our short term goals are to provide a reliable haulage service for anyone needing to ship goods, transport passengers, or smuggle cargo. We will also be generating revenue by mining. We plan to increase our capital by trading commodities and mined ore when capable as we continue to build the company.

Our long term goals are to expand as a corporation into other professions as the fleet of ships we have available grows. These include but are not limited to: salvaging, exploration, search and rescue, and freelance escorting.

We are a corporation that does not condone violent crime. As such piracy is out of the question for Walker’s TA members. If that is something you’d like to do then unfortunately we are not the corporation for you. Non-violent crimes like smuggling ‘grey’ cargo or trading in stolen goods are all acceptable to the corporation if you’re making a tidy profit.

Charter

Walker’s Transport and Acquisitions is an Australian based corporation that seeks to provide an environment for any players that are seeking a friendly profit-focused organisation within the Star Citizen universe. Despite being a corporation focused mainly on moving cargo and cracking open asteroids we will not dictate how you wish to play the game and over time we do wish to expand into other professions. You are free to do as you please as long as your actions don’t conflict with your responsibilities as a Walker’s TA member.

As a member you gain the benefits of support from other members and access to the corporate fleet for use in your profit making endeavours. In return you will be expected to part with a small amount of funds through the fees and dues system that Chris Roberts has discussed implementing. This is just so that everyone contributes equally to the expansion of the corp fleet and benefits everyone.

As mentioned in the manifesto Walkers Transport doesn’t condone violent crime. We also do not condone harrassment or griefing of any players and will take reports of such seriously. We wish to promote a healthy and fun playing environment within Star Citizen. We encourage members to report any grievances to the administrators of the corporation so that they may be resolved fairly.

Outlined below are your rights and responsibilities should you wish to join Walker’s Transport and Acquisitions.

Your Rights as a Walker’s TA member:
  1. You have the right to play free from harassment from other members. Keep things civil between each other.
  2. You have the right to be supported by other members of the corporation wherever possible and within reason.
  3. You have the right to play the game as you see fit while keeping to your responsibilities as a member.
  4. You have the right to challenge leadership on rules and decisions within reason. Nonsensical insubordination will not be tolerated.
  5. You have the right to report any legitimate grievances with other members to the appropriate corporation admins.
  6. You have the right to use any of ships belonging to the Walker’s Transport and Acquisitions fleet should the need arise and the craft isn’t reserved for an impending job.
Your Responsibilities as a Walker’s Transport Member:
  1. You are to do no harm or harrass either in game or outside the star citizen universe any other members or players.
  2. You are to pay Walker’s Transport fees and dues in the PU once the system has been fleshed out by the devs.
  3. Wherever possible it is the responsibility of Walker’s Transport members to assist other members in distress, excepted of course when that assistance comes at excessive cost to yourself.
  4. It is your responsibility to refrain from violent crime. Violent crime is the only non-griefing activity in the verse that Walker’s Transport and Acquisitions does not condone. This means that we do not condone robbery.
  5. It is your responsibility as a member to maintain any good standing between Walker’s Transport and Acquisitions and other organisations. You must also maintain the reputation of the corporation as a non-griefing organisation. Any confirmed reports of griefing will be taken very seriously.
